Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Kim DePaola fired back at Rulla Pontarelli’s criticism. It seems that when Kim D discussed Rulla’s husband, Brian Pontarelli’s, affair on her podcast, Rulla saw red. When The Real Housewives of Rhode Island star reached out to Kim via an Instagram DM, Bravo’s newest feud was born. And let’s just say that Kim was happy to engage.
The reality stars’ bitter fallout escalates after private messages are made public
Of course, Rulla and Brian’s marriage has been a hot topic on RHORI. While Rulla insisted that Brian’s affair was over, her co-stars alleged that he was still seeing his mistress. In fact, Jo-Ellen Tiberi hinted that she provides proof at the RHORI reunion. “I have spoken to the mistress since the show aired,” Jo-Ellen claimed. Yikes!
Meanwhile, after Kim blasted Brian on her Get Real with Kim D podcast, Rulla contacted her. While Kim didn’t display the actual DM, her co-host read what Rulla allegedly wrote. Reportedly, Rulla told Kim that it was “sad and shameful” that she was discussing Brian’s infidelity. Plus, Rulla reportedly said that she believed that Kim knew “better at this stage of her career.”
Cue Kim’s response, which she displayed onscreen and read aloud during the podcast. “Rulla, we have very different opinions of what shameful is,” Kim replied. “I would be ashamed to look at my children and letting them know the behavior you tolerate from a man.”
The RHONJ alum added, “I have a very successful podcast and a much longer-standing career in the Bravo world. People pay to listen to my opinion.” Still, Kim wasn’t done slamming Rulla and her decision to stay married to Brian.
“I have peace in my life and would never tolerate the disrespect that you do. I feel sorry for you,” Kim said. “Your story is truly sad. I’m praying for you.”
