West Wilson made a comment about his Summer House future in the final episode of Season 10. After the reunion was filmed, the cameras picked up again. Some of the cast gathered to discuss lingering questions about the romance between West and Amanda Batula. And this time, viewers were given a bit more clarity.
Summer House’s bonus episode The Aftermath saw West Wilson quit the show

Most of the Summer House cast continued to question the timeline of Amanda and West’s secret romance. During the bonus Summer House: The Aftermath episode, Lindsay Hubbard sat down with Amanda and got some real answers.
Meanwhile, in an awkward sit-down on May 20, West came clean with Amanda’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke. Originally, West wanted to speak with Kyle off-camera. “This won’t make it, but, like, my time on camera is over,” West stated, adding that he did a “bad job” at the reunion.
West continued, “In my experience, anything I’ve done following it, publicly, has landed poorly. And so, I didn’t want you to think I, like, waited ’til the reunion was over and then, like, gathered myself and then was like, ‘Oh, let’s film a scene together’ kind of thing.” He added, “The processing and, like, slowing down and just sort of, like, soaking it all in didn’t really happen until the last two weeks.”
In addition, rumors circulated that West, who joined the series during Season 8, was reportedly fired. An insider claimed that West’s exit was “a mutual decision between the network and West.” Plus, the source alleged that West was “already feeling like his time on the show was coming to an end” during the Season 10 finale. Reportedly, the insider stated that West was “at peace with the decision.”
Summer House is streaming on Peacock.
