Luke Broderick’s relationship with his fiancée, Kristen Doute, hit a bump when they became parents. Fans of The Valley watched the couple navigate parenthood while attempting to keep their connection strong. Unfortunately, Luke has repeatedly made rude comments about living with a postpartum partner. It wasn’t a good look, and Luke managed to sink to a new low during The Valley Season 3 reunion.
Luke Broderick’s most controversial reunion moment on The Valley Season 3

Not only did Luke tell Jesse Lally that if Kristen’s anxiety and moods didn’t improve, there might not be a wedding, but he also joked about putting “pregnant Kristen to rest.” Luke wanted to have a second child and put Kristen’s postpartum struggles in the rearview.
During a couples therapy session, Luke hinted that he might not have popped the question if he had met “pregnant Kristen.” At The Valley Season 3 Episode 20: Reunion Part 2, host Andy Cohen asked Luke, “If you would have waited until after the pregnancy, do you think you still would have proposed?”
Luke responded, “That’s a hard thing to try to, you know, make up in my mind. I wouldn’t break up with her.” Kristen admitted, “Obviously, not super fun to hear.”
Meanwhile, Kristen dropped a bomb about Luke and their joint offer to appear on Watch What Happens Live. According to Andy, Luke told the WWHL producers that he “would only come if Kristen was not involved. That you needed a break.” Since their nanny was away, Kristen was booking a flight for Luke’s mom to NYC.
However, Luke stated that Kristen said she was “going to be in the room the entire time” and they couldn’t “do other things.” An emotional Kristen revealed, “He said, ‘I want to go to dinner, and I want to enjoy New York. And I can’t enjoy New York if you and Kaia are there.'” Yikes!
Finally, Luke apologized, but his selfish comment shocked his co-stars and viewers.
The Valley airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Episodes will stream on Peacock.
