Taylor Armstrong Axed From Real Housewives of Orange County

The great Real Housewives crossover experiment is over. Taylor Armstrong first joined the franchise as an original cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and stayed on through Season 6, though her influence on screen became a friend of the cast. Then, in a Real Housewives first, Taylor was re-cast on The Real Housewives of Orange County for Season 17.

Taylor joined Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti, and Emily Simpson as a “friend of.”

But without making as much of an impact as producers were hoping for, Taylor was let go after one season. It’s time to return the orange. And seems that the reunion seating chart was quite telling.

Taylor Armstrong is “grateful” for the Orange County experience

Taylor made the announcement with a heartfelt Instagram post.

“Loved spending time with the ladies of #RHOC and thankful I got to give the viewers an update on my life,” she wrote. “I’ve made some real friendships that I cherish. Wishing the ladies all the best for season 18.”

Indeed, Taylor’s fans appreciated seeing her again, especially given how much she is thriving at the current stage in her life.

The RHOC alum cheekily ended her post with the following dig at Heather, “Adding Season 17 to my IMDb.”

Season 17 viewers will recall how Heather took offense when her status as a desirable and in-demand actress was questioned by the group. And Taylor’s conflict with Heather was the only drama she took on all season. It was potent, but not enough to keep the Oklahoma native around.

Taylor did make a heartwarming connection with fellow Mid-Westerner, Jennifer, and often defended her relationship with Ryan Boyajian against the prying of the rest of the group.

“You’ll be missed, Taylor!” Tamra replied to the post.

Jennifer wrote, “I love you SO much.”
