Mary Cosby returned to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City to give the show a boost, but she made things awkward in a hurry. Her son, Robert Cosby, Jr., and his wife have received some unusual bedroom advice from Mary.
Robert and his supposed wife have been living in Mary’s mansion. But Mary hasn’t done a stellar job of keeping her eyes on her son. In December 2020, Robert Jr. was pulled over. He was allegedly driving under the influence, didn’t have a valid driver’s license, and had “marijuana/spice” on him. And so Robert made a plea deal. Mary’s beloved son was found guilty of a DUI. His sentence? He was given 180 days in jail, with 178 days suspended. He avoided serving two days in jail by completing 48 hours of community service.
But now Mary is giving some intimate advice to Robert’s girlfriend/wife. You may want to take a seat.
Mary told Robert’s partner not to fake it
During the Season 4 RHOSLC reunion, Mary confessed to host Andy Cohen that she wasn’t sure if Robert was married. Mary wants the receipts, or in this case, some “paperwork” for proof.
“I can’t even say it. I’m like, ‘Get your girlfriend.’ I keep calling her his girlfriend,” Mary said. “I was steadily telling him, ‘That’s not your wife.’” Mary also believes that her son, who is 21 years old, is “way too young to be married.”
In some unseen footage, Mary told her make-up artist that her son was “doing his own thing with his girlfriend.” Suddenly, “all this noise” from their bedroom startled Mary. Of course, Mary felt the need to lend her spiritual guidance to Robert’s significant other.
“I said, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I said, ‘Don’t make my son think he’s better than he is. Stop doing all that. Stop playing with him,'” Mary stated. “Tell him the truth.” Oh, my Lord!
Mary shared some wisdom with her son’s partner
Mary explained at the reunion, “I didn’t think he’s bad in bed.” She continued, “I just told the wife or the girlfriend stop pretending. Because I walked past their room and hear all this noise, all this screaming, and all this dramatic and I’m like, ‘It’s not this serious. Don’t give him a big head and think that he’s this really…’ You know?” she added.
And Mary admitted that she was about to enter her son’s bedroom to perform a wellness check. Thankfully, she “got the point” before walking in and was only left “scarred” by the experience. “Be true to it. If it’s like that, then … but if it’s not, don’t make him think it is,” Mary explained. “Don’t be faking it. Yeah, that’s all.”
