Why We’re Glad Stassi Schroeder Won’t Be On The Valley

I’ll say it loud, and I’ll say it proud: I was never a Stassi Schroeder fan when she was on  Vanderpump Rules. So, I sure as hell won’t miss her on The Valley. Stassi was a proud mean girl who came across as extremely spoiled and out of touch with those around her. Honestly, she could have put Regina George to shame. I think she is EXACTLY the same now, just less obvious about her intentions because she’s been canceled a few times.

Stassi’s tantrums were legendary, with viewers learning early on it was going to be a bumpy ride. Viewers had to be sure to keep our arms and legs inside the PUMP vehicle at all times, especially if it was Stassi’s birthday and the Adderall train collided with alcohol. Stassi came across as naturally selfish and vindictive, especially when she stuck her best friends with her large bar bill.

Also, let’s not forget who we are dealing with. In the 2000s, Stassi was on a show called Queen Bees, with the premise being about turning mean girls into nice girls. She came in dead last and didn’t win any money. There was a pattern. Once a mean girl, always a mean girl. So, when we heard that Stassi wouldn’t be included in the cast for the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, The Valley, it was cause for celebration.

So Long, Stassi

Along with co-star Kristen Doute, Stassi was fired in June 2020 after her former castmate, Faith Stowers, revealed on social media that the duo had called the police on her to report a false claim. At the time, Faith used this racist act to share an example of what it was like to be the only Black cast member on Vanderpump Rules. Between the casual racism, classism, general nastiness, and hypocrisy, I was surprised she had any friends at all while working at SUR.

There were many down-and-dirty things Stassi did, including making fun of Scheana Shay‘s music. She even had the gall to take the day off from work to go and mock Scheana at a concert. I honestly wonder if she ever thinks back to the early days and laments how terrible a person she was. And yes, I’ve heard Stassi note she is tired of being called the mean girl, but newsflash, that is what you were.

Stassi the Terrible

I’ll never forget learning that Stassi watched Gossip Girl as prep material before she started filming Vanderpump Rules. The move makes total sense since she probably knew she would become a villain and played the party perfectly.

The mother of two was problematic from the start. Stassi was a bully, and it surprised me how long the network kept her on, but we all know ratings talk. She terrorized those around her and slapped Kristen in the face (incredible, fantastic moment but yoooo) and bragged about her evil doings. Let’s not forget that while Stassi was terrorizing Scheana and calling her a whore, Stassi also terrorized Laura Leigh. I don’t think she’s a good person to anyone except her friends.

Stassi Says No to New Show

I am thanking my lucky stars that I won’t have to see Stassi on the new Vanderpump Rules spin-off because I am already dreading the series, to begin with, and Stassi would have put me over the edge. In the world we live in today, there is really no room for a**holes. Personally, I don’t want to spend my precious time watching people be mean to one another, hence my reservation about the announced cast to begin with. I love reality TV, but there is a limit to what we, as viewers, should allow.

Stassi claimed she turned down the chance to be on The Valley for multiple reasons. “It’s a lot of different reasons,” she claimed on the Jeff Lewis Live podcast. “First of all, it wouldn’t be a reflection of what my reality is. I’m not friends with any, you know, it’s just, it’s not my group of friends.”

But could it be that the rest of the cast didn’t want to be friends with Stassi? To famously quote the queen of mean, “I don’t know what I’ve done to you, but I’ll take a pinot grigio.” You were a subpar human, Stass. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
