Issues We Have With the RHOBH Season 13 Reunion Seating Chart

In the Real Housewives franchise, there has always been a special significance to the reunion seating chart. Season 13 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be no different as the women of the 90210 find their respective spots on the comfy yet chaotic couch. The RHOBH Season 13 reunion seating chart was dropped on January 26, and on Andy Cohen’s left are Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, and Annemarie Wiley at the end. On Andy’s right were Sutton StrackeGarcelle Beauvais, and Crystal Kung Minkoff. Hopefully, Andy can keep the women centered as they rehash the season

Why the First Seat Is Always Controversial

Per usual, everyone has an opinion about who is sitting directly on either side of the king of Bravo. I’m not surprised with Kyle’s placement, since she is an OG, but Sutton’s position is unexpected. In my Bravo Couch Pool, Sutton’s odds were about 25:1. As a clear underdog, she would not have been the person a lot of viewers saw sitting there. Kyle, I understand. You just can’t beat a storyline featuring a questionable lesbian romance and an impending divorce. My real question where is Morgan Wade sitting?

If you had asked me during the second episode if Ms. Sutton, however feisty, deserved first chair, I would have said I don’t think she warranted the prized spot, especially not with her esophagus mood board of a story. But overnight, Sutton has become our RHOBH overlord and is now sitting pretty as Queen Bee.

One Does Not Simply Get a Seat on the Couch

Annemarie was supposed to be a new edition to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a fulltime housewife. However, she barely gave ‘friend of’ vibes. Whether she meant to or not, she misrepresented herself and her profession, launching into unwarranted medical advice mode. Power down, Annemarie! The rookie was an impossible person to deal with, and her nonapology apology was just absurd to witness over and over again. How she gets anywhere near that sofa is a magical feat.

Personally, I don’t think Annemarie should have been given a seat as a full-time housewife and, at most, should have been given ten minutes and escorted off after a commercial break. Just give her an ottoman and call it a day, really Bravo!

Good vs. Evil

It also wasn’t lost on me that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills seating chart felt like it was a battle between good and evil. Personally I have always been team Garcelle and Sutton. Crystal is part of the trio but honestly could use some work. Together, these three women seem like the best of friends and the most down-to-earth out of the group. Sadly, I think in this group of women, interesting gets translated to being toxic, and I’d rather watch sassy over mean any day.

On the other side, you have the hellfire of what is left of the Fox Force Five. Dorit, who I just don’t buy as stupid and should have known better when it came to trying to come for Garcelle, Erika (even though I loved her this season) still couldn’t hide her true colors, especially when it came to the elevator setup and boring Kyle. Seeing these three seated next to one another just reminds me that not a lot happened this season.

The Verdict

The seating chart is as expected for the most part, with all that is missing being a pop-up country performance by Morgan. For the Season 13 reunion, Sutton will have to make sure to speak her mind since she is holding down the first chair as she has been quiet during the past reunions. I want to see Kyle roasted for being the original cast member who brought up Sutton and an eating disorder in the same sentence, the cast’s reaction to Erika’s earrings victory, and I’d love to see Crystal really go in on Annemarie again.  The chart gets a solid 8.5.
