Bravo cast members are wising up to the idea of crossover gigs. And the former Vanderpump Rules cast may be at the forefront of the practice. Both Lala Kent and Scheana Shay have infiltrated The Valley cast. And now it seems that Lala is teasing the idea of being a part of the Southern Charm ensemble.
The VPR alumni’s appearance on The Valley divided fans. So would anyone be interested in Lala joining the Charleston, South Carolina based show? If the premise of Southern Charm is having a life in the city, surely Lala would be out of the running. However, her friendship with the cast is genuine. So maybe the idea makes sense.
Lala Kent opened up about her friendship with several Southern Charm cast members
During her July 29 Amazon Live stream, Lala revealed that she would make a “great” addition to the Southern Charm cast. The topic came up when a fan asked if there was a reality show she would be interested in joining.
“I think I would want to be on Southern Charm because it’s the closest thing to Vanderpump Rules. I just like the dynamics. It feels very real and honest and easy. These people are hanging out whether there’s a camera up or not. That would be my go-to,” the Give Them Lala podcast host explained.
Lala acknowledged her lack of “connection to Charleston.” She recently bought a home in the San Fernando Valley after all. However, she is friends with most of the main cast members, including Madison LeCroy and the leading lads.
“I love all of the cast. They’re so nice,” she said. “I had really good conversations with Craig [Conover] and Austen [Kroll] this year at one of the upfront shoots that we filmed … I’m not gonna tell you what that conversation was like, but maybe if they touch on it on their show, then I can tell you my conversation with Austen. It was very interesting,” she teased.
Lala continued, “Craig and I will go back and forth on DMs. Austen and I will go back and forth on DMs. I love Madison. She and I will do the same type of thing. Any time I see them at BravoCon, it’s so happy and fun. So those are the three I talk to the most, which is not frequently, but I consider them friends.”
