Just when you thought their divorce couldn’t get any nastier, Aaron Phypers is now involving Denise Richards’s 14-year-old daughter, Eloise Richards. In a surprising new court filing, Aaron claimed that he signed adoption papers for Eloise, but Denise never filed them. According to Aaron, it’s just another example of his ex’s twisted behavior, and he feels like he’s being robbed of his fatherhood.

For context, Denise adopted Eloise when she was an infant. In 2019, Denise claimed that Aaron signed adoption papers for Eloise as well, just a year after they tied the knot. In court documents reviewed by People, Aaron claimed that Denise never filed the paperwork, leaving him without any legal connection to Eloise.
“This has caused immeasurable harm and demonstrates the imbalance [Denise] maintains in this matter,” Aaron said in his court filing.
In the court docs, Aaron said that Eloise is his “daughter by bond of over nine years.” Because of the divorce, Aaron said the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star left him “legally without his daughter despite raising her as his own.”
Furthermore, Aaron’s court filing accused Denise of having “sole control over marital funds.” He also claimed she has withheld “office/trade equipment for more than 50 days.” He wants Denise to pay his $75,000 attorney fees in addition to $140,500 “to address arrears.” That includes past due rent for their Calabasas home, HOA fees, and utility costs.
Aaron’s filing arrived as a response to Denise’s filing a day ago, where she asked a judge to remove Aaron and his family from their Calabasas property. Per the court documents, Aaron failed to pay rent on the property for over six months, prompting an eviction notice from the landlord.
Denise wants the court’s help to get her belongings, along with her dogs, from the home. She believes it’s the only way to move forward without violating the temporary restraining order that’s in place. Eviction proceedings are set to begin on Saturday, August 23.
