Real Housewives of New York fans know that Bethenny Frankel’s love life has been on a roller coaster most of the time she has been a cast member. In the early seasons of the show, divorced Bethenny made it clear she wanted a family. Along came Jason Hoppy, for better or worse. The two quickly became engaged, got married and had daughter Bryn Hoppy in 2010. The couple split after a few years and have been battling off and on in court ever since over everything from custody to finances. Jason was even charged with stalking Bethenny a few years ago.
Surprisingly, the former couple is still legally married as their divorce has never been finalized. Bethenny eventually moved on to an on-again, off-again relationship with Dennis Shields, which lasted for a number of years. Sadly, Dennis died in August of 2018. Since then, Bethenny has rekindled a relationship with Paul Bernon, whom she had dated briefly before. Happily for Bethenny, this relationship has lasted and appears solid.
Season 11 of Real Housewives of New York revolved around Luann de Lesseps, her fragile sobriety, and her life as a cabaret star. Viewers watched Luann blissfully gazing at posters for her own cabaret show. It later came to light that there were some misleading positive comments on the poster. Luann’s cabaret obsession even pushed RHONY’s Bethenny Frankel to have a melt-down.
Luann also routinely kept her
fans friends waiting at shows, while behaving as a diva should. At Luann’s holiday cabaret show, long-time friend Barbara Kavovit is the only New York Housewife to dutifully attend the performance. Unfortunately, Barbara is caught on a live mic while in the audience, telling her sister, “She can’t really sing.” Oops!
This is not entirely unexpected. Real Housewives of New York is filming right now, minus one melodramatic humanitarian. Yes, viewers will need to find the strength to move on without Bethenny Frankel dominating every scene she is in.
You won’t find Luann de Lesseps crying in the corner over the loss of Bethenny. Especially after last season. Luann has often been the target of Bethenny’s multiple mood swings and vice versa. Fans will also be introduced to new ladies that will inevitably be reduced to showing audiences if they
crack under pressure have the right stuff. Good luck, Leah McSweeney! Now Luann shares her thoughts on life without Bethenny. You can take off your sunglasses for this one, because it gets a little shady.
Real Housewives of New York star, and Queen of Cabaret, Luann De Lesseps hit a rough patch in the summer of 2018. Luann checked back into rehab for alcohol abuse after an intervention from friends, including RHONY co-star Bethenny Frankel.
One reason for Luann’s relapse was the lawsuit filed by her children and ex-husband for violating an agreement from their divorce. Luann was supposed to put half the money from the sale of a house in Bridgehampton in a trust fund for her kids. She didn’t. Oops!
Luann de Lesseps, please don’t ever change. The stah of Real Housewives of New York’s current claim to fame is the art of cabaret. And boy Lu really seems dedicated to her craft. Luann’s ever-evolving life is part comedy, part tragedy, but never uncool. Nothing can bring the cabaret train to a full stop. Except jail. Luann has even said cabaret is “her calling”. After an intoxicating arrest, family issues, rehab, and a level 10 Bethenny Frankel dinner table meltdown, cabaret has been Lu’s rock. If Luann wants to sit around feelin’ all kinds of Jovani, more power to her.
In this life, all the world is a stage and the Countess is merely a player, you guys! Obviously, she needs to share her gift with the public. In an effort to promote her masterpiece on us normies, Luann shared a brand new poster advertising her latest blessing. Some people might find it misleading, while others think the Countess can do no wrong. Oh habibi…
Real Housewives of New York’s Bethenny Frankel shocked us all when she decided to bail on the show. For Bethenny, the timing was right. According to Ramona Singer, Bethenny’s co-stars found out this juicy information through the press. Ouch!
So, who would Bravo pick to step into Bethenny’s fashionable shoes? We learned that Leah McSweeney apparently signed on for Season 12 of RHONY. Since Bravo doesn’t comment on casting, this hasn’t been confirmed. We also don’t know if Leah will be a full-time Housewife or Friend of the Housewives.
Back in August, Real Housewives of New York’s Bethenny Frankel shocked us all when she announced that she was leaving the show ahead of Season 12. Why Bethenny? Why?
She is in a happy relationship with Paul Bernon, who is very private and probably doesn’t want to add appearing on a reality show to his resume. There is some hope for the future, since Bethenny left the show before and then later triumphantly returned.
How have you been enjoying the first weeks of the Real Housewives of Dallas? The ladies have been serving up a little drama so far and are already in the middle of a cast trip to Mexico. To be honest, I could have watched the last couple of episodes just for the incredible cliff-side setting of Kary Brittingham’s family vacation home. That, and D’Andra Simmon’s epic drunk scenes last week that give reigning Housewife champs Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Brandi Glanville a run for their money!
One of the continuing themes of the show last season was the ongoing strife in the long-standing friendship between LeeAnne Locken and D’Andra. The two hit a jarring speed bump when D’Andra alleged that LeeAnne’s relationship with fiancé and now husband Rich Emberlin was not what it seemed. And in her confessionals last season, D’Andra made accusations of Rich being unfaithful to LeeAnne. Shockingly, that made the usually calm, cool and collected LeeAnne a little hot under her 12,000 ways-to-wear-it L’Infinity dress. Now, LeeAnne is speaking out about the situation.
