The stars of Vanderpump Rules have really undergone some intense changes throughout the past year. Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni all “left” the show. Stassi, Britt, Lala Kent and Scheana Shay are all new moms. Sur is open for business after a coronavirus pandemic and a few legal issues here and there for Lisa Vanderpump.
As I said, the Pump Rules cast are mostly parents now. And the newest mommy in the pregnancy pact gave her child the most Scheana Marie name ever — Summer Moon Honey Davies. Are we really surprised? Lala gave birth just before her to her first child with Randall Emmett, named Ocean. And if they’re not changing diapers, giving parenting advice on a podcast or posting on their newborn babies’ Instagram accounts, the VPR cast is trying to get pregnant like Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz. No more Vegas getaways and back alley fights for the OG Pumpers.
It seems like a lifetime ago that we last had new episode of Vanderpump Rules on our screen. A lot has changed. Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants dealt with closures due to the pandemic, and a few legal issues here and there. Stassi Schroeder, Kristin Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were fired for alleged racist behaviors. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright also “left” the show (read: probably also got fired). Stassi, Brittany, Lala Kent and Scheana Shay are new moms. Even Lisa’s beloved Giggy crossed over to doggy heaven.
After the whirlwind of an offseason, it was starting to feel like VPR was done for good. It even had Scheaners worried. Several alums (aka the one’s who “left’) were calling for a new spinoff show with just the OGs. It’s probably because they, especially Jax, could use a boost in their bank accounts right about now. And while Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix gave us hope for a return, it seemed like the Pump Rules train came and left, never to return.
Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Brett Caprioni, and Max Boyens were fired from Vanderpump Rules for racist behavior in June of 2020. Bravo viewers thought that a shift was finally happening in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Back in 2018, Kristen and Stassi called the police on co-star Faith Stowers and told them that Faith was supposedly drugging men and then stealing their belongings. Bravo viewers also wanted Pump Rules star Jax Taylor to lose his job. He also lied about Faith on social media, alleging that Faith was wanted for stealing a car and was “AWOL” from the military. Well, mission accomplished, viewers!
The Vanderpump Rules editors tried really hard to make Dayna Kathan a thing last season. She got so much camera time in comparison to all of the other cast members, including the veterans.
The season as a whole was really strange and felt like two different shows: Vanderpump Rules Veterans and Vanderpump Rules the new cast. And then on top of that strange separation, there was just way too much footage revolving around Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s pre-wedding celebrations. And well, the new cast members were not exactly a smash hit. Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni got fired for racist tweets from their past. And, then of course, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute got fired for their own racist activity. And months later, Jax and Brittany announced they were “leaving” the show. The future of Vanderpump Rules has been in limbo for almost a year. But, we do know one thing is for sure: Dayna will not be on the show if/when it returns.
It’s been a minute since Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute for racist behavior. The Vanderpump Rules stars were axed in June of 2020, along with Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni. Stassi lost brand endorsement deals, and her podcast was pulled from all platforms.
Stassi was planning to marry Beau Clark in Rome in October of 2020. But coronavirus had other ideas. However, the couple did receive some good news.
Lisa Vanderpump of the Dahling That’s Just My British Humor Vanderpumps, has been doing media for her new show over on the E! channel. While she “overserves” d-list celebrities at her home, people continue to wonder about the fate of Vanderpump Rules, which continues to hang on a very thin thread. The show has struggled to make a return since half the cast was fired for past racial indiscretions. It might be time to give this horse a nice ceremony and let it die in peace.
Along with Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and two rando guys no one remembers, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright also departed the program. But how they left is up for debate. If you ask Jax and Brittany, they voluntarily left to “work on their growing family“. Recently Lisa gave an interview on the possible future of VPR, and ended any speculation of how Jax and Brittany went out. Now it seems Lisa could very well become a member of the #blockedbyjax club.
It seems like forever since Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from Vanderpump Rules for their racist behavior. Two newbies, Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens were also axed for their racial insensitivity on June 9, 2020.
Stassi lost many brand endorsement deals, and her podcast was yanked from all platforms. There were rumblings in August of 2020 that Stassi might get a show of her own, but the talks never came to fruition.
Very few people actually quit a Bravo reality TV show. Usually, they are afforded the courtesy of putting out some nonsensical statement about “looking forward to future projects”
that never actually come to fruition to save face. However, most people don’t just quit these shows. The Bravo paychecks and the endorsement deals that come from the exposure are a lot to give up.
In June 2020, Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni for their racist behaviors. In response, some people wanted to know why Jax Taylor wasn’t included in that list of firings. Faith Stowers accused Jax’s wife Brittany Cartwright of using racial slurs.
