Teen Mom 2 Episode Recap: Reunion Part 1

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, we witnessed the first part of the reunion hosted by  Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab. These two didn’t waste any time, they jumped right into the drama in the first five minutes of the show. This was the first time many of the cast members saw each other since the drama last reunion.Grab a cocktail or a snack and let’s mind their business for a little while longer!

The show opened up with Leah Messer and Chelsea Houska who are the only two moms who weren’t involved in the drama last year. The rest of the moms refused to be on stage with one another this year. MTV was messy re-showing the video footage of Kailyn Lowry being grabbed after an explosive argument with Briana DeJesus. You would think Kailyn would have learned a lesson and stopped inciting beefs with other people. I think the only lesson she learned was to talk crap behind their back and avoid them at all costs. I guess she doesn’t want to risk having her wig snatched again.

What We Know About Season 39, Survivor: Island of the Idols…and Beyond

Survivor: Edge of Extinction is now a thing of the past, but Survivor itself is still going strong. Having just finished its 38th (!!!) season, it still wins its time-slot on Wednesdays and is number one in key young adult demographics. It has, in fact, already been picked up for two more seasons, ensuring that we will at least see a Season 40 come 2020.

But before we get into that milestone Season 40 (which we will), we now know some details about the upcoming Season 39. As Jeff Probst revealed to us at the Edge of Extinction Live Reunion Show, 39 will be called “Survivor: Island of the Idols,” and will feature yet another format-changing twist featuring two of the most iconic former contestants to have ever played the game.

Exclusive Survivor: Edge of Extinction Interviews With the Final 3 and Reem

When asked by CBS as to who I wanted to interview at season’s end, the real answer was: Everyone. In a “normal” season of Survivor, I would interview each and every contestant, week-by-week, as they were voted out of the game. But when CBS introduced the theme and twist of Survivor: Edge of Extinction, the format did not lend itself to those traditional weekly exit interviews. So needless to say, there is a lot to discuss now that we’ve reached the end.

Just in case you missed it or are not caught up, please take a read through my passionate (and sometimes angry) response to last night’s Season 38 Finale Recap.

Top Survivor Winners Of All-Time – Updated Through Season 38

No season of Survivor would be complete if we didn’t compile the all-time list of winners each season. With 38 seasons now in the rear-view, we just witnessed Chris Underwood, the 26-year-old District Sales Manager from Greenville, South Carolina, becoming the latest person to win Survivor…but where does this sit on the all-time list?

Survivor: Edge of Extinction Finale And Live Reunion Recap: It All Comes Down To…This?

There are no words. No words to describe the – disgust? – that I’m feeling right now towards Survivor. But oh, words will come. Lots of them.

I will try to get through and formulate my thoughts on what looks on the surface to be a clear “jump the shark” moment for my favorite show. By all accounts, up until tonight, Survivor: Edge of Extinction was a good, if not great, edition of the best Reality TV Competition Show on the planet. But it wasn’t able to stick the landing. And in fact, not only was tonight’s ending shocking and controversial, but it may have caused permanent damage to the show’s legacy.

As I do at the beginning of every recap, please heed the following. Remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s Finale Episode of Survivor: Edge of Extinction. If you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap. It is more of a discussion and reaction of what we just witnessed together.

Teen Mom 2 Episode Recap: Family Portrait

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, we witnessed the conversation that eventually led to Jenelle Evans being fired from Teen Mom 2. Ding Dong the witch is dead!!!! It’s sad that Jenelle allowed her jobless husband David Eason to ruin a dream job. Maybe she will land on her feet or maybe she will just disappear to the land of obscurity. Hopefully, she doesn’t follow in the footsteps of Teen Mom OG alum Farrah Abraham. I don’t want to see Jenelle giving sex advice or doing porn. But let be honest, she virtually has no job skills at this point. That is why allowing another person to jeopardize your bag is so stupid. Good luck figuring out a way to bring in the same salary doing something else.

It’s just another day, and another threat from Jenelle’s husband, David. Why he feels it is appropriate to continue to harass the Teen Mom 2 staff is beyond me. This man is clearly unstable and I don’t understand why Jenelle keeps him around.  He may control his wife and his household but he can’t control a television show that his wife is on. I honestly think David’s goal was to get Jenelle fired from Teen Mom 2 so his life would be private again. I also believe he is upset that his wife is the breadwinner and that he isn’t able to control her while they’re affiliated with Teen Mom 2.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction Episode 13 Recap: On The Edge of The Finale

We’ve now reached the edge…the edge of the season, that is. The Survivor: Edge of Extinction two-hour Finale is now just one week away, next Wednesday, May 15 (CBS of course!). The stage is set, the end is near, but judging by tonight’s penultimate episode, there is still much work that needs to be done before anyone walks away with the title of Sole Survivor.

As I do at the beginning of every recap, please heed the following. Remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s Episode 13 of Survivor: Edge of Extinction. If you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap.
