Just when you thought the feud between the Real Housewives of Orange County housewives, Tamra Barney & Gretchen Rossi, had calmed down, comes news that their feud has once again gotten very nasty and personal. And the man in the middle of their current feud is none other than Gretchen’s current boyfriend, Slade.
According to InTouchWeekly, Tamra believes that Slade Smiley bashed her parenting skills on a recent episode. “I take raising my children very personal. Maybe it’s something he should try doing,” Tamra, 42, tells In Touch. Ouch, Tamra is referring to the news report that Slade owes $80,000 in back child support to his sick son.
Tamra doesn’t stop there, she continues, “I think he is a washed-up 40-year-old who wants to be on TV so bad he’ll do whatever it takes.”
Gretchen, 31, is however quick to come to the defense of her man. “She should focus on her own children, who obviously need the attention,” says Gretchen alluding to the troubled son of Tamra, Ryan Vieth, who has had several run ins with the law. Ryan has received a staggering number of more than 20 traffic violations over the past seven years.
“One of them went to jail recently and has not been successful at much except hitting on drunk girls that Mommy connives to get naked wasted at her home,” says Gretchen.
Yikes, this new feud is rather suprising considering Tamra has been writing in her blogs recently that she and Gretchen are now on good terms. Not certain of what Slade said about Tamra’s parenting skills in any of the recent episodes.

I would not like Tamra’s nasty words/actions no matter what she looked like physically. Tamra is not an unattractive lady physically. It is her nastiness that makes her unattractive to many people.

I do like Gretch. I definitely would not say it is a crush even though I like to joke. I like Jenna. I like Lynn. I tend to like the ladies on the show that are nice and to dislike the ladies on the show that are nasty. It really isnt that complicated.

I like Lynn, she seems like a real nice person, not fake about her feelings, does not seem to have a mean bone in her body. Maybe a little quirky but harmless. Jeana could be nasty and two faced, but at the same time has had a hard way to go the last few years,so she really needs a break.

Slade seemed like a guy who wanted love a wife and kids when he was on the how. I liked him but thought JO was immature. Then I saw Slade on that Jo dating show and I couldnt stand him on that show. Now back on RHOC I like that he makes Gretch happy and stands up for Gretch. When he uses some slang he comes across as trying too hard.
The bottom line is most people have positives and negatives. If I was on the show some people would probably bash me as well.
I base my dislike for Tamra on the way I saw her treat her kids, getting drunk in front of them and acting completely inappropriately for a mom.
I am not a fan of any of these people but I do think Slade is a nicer more decent person and seemed to spend time with his kids. I take what his ex-wife says with a grain of salt because she is afterall his ex.
Tamra showed how mean and ugly she really is last season and she is trying to cover it up this season but it’s fake and transparent.
I think she is a bad mom and a bad person in general. Her son is just as nasty as she is so that is proof positive of her bad mothering. She disgusts me and frankly I don’t think she belongs on the show.
I don’t know any housewife who behaves the way she does, and I don’t want to watch her live her tacky, classless life.

Are you kidding? Tamra is definitely NOT a hands on parent. Did you see the first 2 seasons of the show? She made it clear it was “her time to shine” (whatever the heck that means, the woman has never had a real career) and “any money I make is for MYSELF”.

I don’t exclusively form my opinions from what I see on the show. I also take into account what I see on Facebook, in the press and in person. You think mundane things like trips to the beach, pumpkin patch and a family field trip to San Diego to do research on Sydney’s California Missions project would pass the BRAVO editing team? I personally think that Simon made really good money for about a decade, upgraded the family to a lifestyle that he thought he could maintain, started splurging on the extras that he thought they could afford at the time and did squirrel away the six months salary recommended by experts in case times get tough. However, those tough times have been with us for two years now and have eaten into the reserves of many who thought they were doing everything right.
Lynne is where she is because Frank wasn’t honest with her about the family finances. The surgery was performed pre-eviction when Lynne was blissfully ignorant of just how bad things were because Frank just wanted his girls to be happy.
I tune mostly in to watch Lynne, Tamra and Vicki because they have interesting stories on the show beyond the shopping, dining in restaurants, spa/plastic surgeon trips & shameless product promotion.
What is Gretchen’s story this season exactly? You think I wait with baited breath to see what object she’s going to hump this week?

Sorry but there are plenty of people who don’t lose their homes who did not sock away 6 months salary. They took out a 40 year mortgage, I didn’t even know those existed?? That right there tells you that they never had money.
Simon was a car salesman who wanted to pretend he had more. Both Simon and Tamra’s greed made their children lose their home, that is beyond bad parenting.
Causing your kids to lose the very home over their heads is beyond repulsive and I find nothing interesting about their storyline, just trailer trash that can’t parent or be honest with themselves or their children.
The jewelry, harley and all the things they bought for themselves is unbelievable selfish. Most people put their kids first, period.

Let me tell you something about auto sales … up until the market bottomed out, being a successful car salesman was one of the most lucrative jobs you could have without technical skills or higher education. In the small, suburban area where I live, before the market bust a good auto salesman easily made in excess of $250,000 a year. If they were selling luxury autos, the income was even higher.

Alexis doesn’t put her children first, she puts third behind God and Jim and a couple of nannies.
I am not a fan of Alexis but I am facinated that she thinks she’s got it so good with Jimbo (I really don’t like him), I am waiting for her to wake up to that.
I am liking seeing Gretchen and Slade, I am not a fan of either but Slade is pretty funny (particularly in the scene in the hotel when he was talking about Vicki & Tamra, FUNNY! yes he gossips but you have to admit he is funny when he uses the different voices).
They are funny together and I want to know if they will get married, etc. Kinda like when Lauri met George and you wanted to see where that went (I am not a fan of her either but her story was interesting).
I also like seeing him tell it like it is about Vicki and Tamra, his blog was spot on and hysterical.

Car salesmen do not make close to the millions just because they live in an expensive area. Car dealerships across the board are not the same and do not pay the same.
Plus if he did make that much money then he certainly would not have needed a 40 year mortgage! Again, maybe you need to read more carefully.

Anna, I’m sure you think you have me over a barrel with your theories, but let me just shed some light for you. I work for a firm that handles matters pertaining to car dealerships, including the salaries and commissions of salespeople, draws on commission, cost of benefits, quantity of sales per week/month/year, and so on.
My statements were based on a SMALL market outside of a very economically depressed city in the Northeast. I know very well what percentage a salesperson makes, as well as what their income is both before and after taxes. Perhaps you’re out of your league on the matter?
It’s very possible that Simon was making $1 million or more a year. HOWEVER, it seems that no one in his family had any clue about financial planning or how to spend money wisely. They over-spent without giving a thought to the future. They were fools with their assets and I’m sure they didn’t save a dime. The boob job, the bleached hair, and the lavish lifestyle took every dollar Simon brought into that home and then some. They needed to take out a 40 year mortgage — which was beyond stupid — because they hadn’t saved a dime and couldn’t afford the payments on a shorter-term mortgage.
I don’t blame Simon for wanting a divorce at this stage of the game. He should be financially comfortable at this point in life, but instead he’s broke as a joke. He’s to blame as well, but I think he probably would have been a lot better off without Tamra and her pretentious lifestyle. They should have turned to Vicki for help with their finances (yeah, she’s a piece of work too!), but it’s too late now.

Truthfully, Bravo is quite enjoying this; they get more sponsers thus money, while not caring what happens to their families.
I feel the housewives should move on and work on their problems in private. I also feel the newspapers, the wives and the blogs should not bring up any subject that is not shown on the television.

Umm we are freakin born naked big whoop she took naked pics, who the hell hasn’t?? If that is the big riff and big thing against Gretchen then she is just fine in my book. Oooo she took naked pics, seriously. She didnt put them on the net so start complaining about the person who did and act right. gretchen is a good hearted person. NEVER talking i’ll about someone UNLESS it is talked about her. If you can not see a good spirited soul in her eyes your blind. Tamra’s eyes reak of mean spiritedness. She always has an agenda with gretchen. Her ” No one is hotter housewife clearly is saying she is hotter then Gretchen and mad she is on the show. Tamra’s husband is older then her so she is no one to talk about jeff and gretchen. Gretchen was with Jeff a whole year before he even got sick. Jeff was a good looking man and I would of dated him also regardless of money so who is to say she was only with him for the money. The only person on this show who is constanly laughing and smiling is Gretchen. She has a great soul and it is the negative people around her that bring the dark light, she shines bright.
Gretchen seems the most authentic. She was lonely when Jeff was ill and went out partying. It wasn’t a great idea, but it didn’t hurt anyone but herself. That Jay person looks like a alchoholic for sure!
Tamra seems to be incapable of having a mature conversation with Simon or anyone else. She justs gets pissed off and leaves the room! She has been pretty her whole life and is spoiled rotten. As soon as Simon left his nice job, she started hating him.
In my opinion, with 3 small children, she needs to grow up. Marriage isn’t easy, but she should fight a little harder for it. Being sexy isn’t going to carry through the rest of her life.
Plus, this holier-than-thou thing about having Ryan out of wedlock is a turnoff. All young women need to be supported for whatever decision they make.
