Following months of speculation, the Huffington Post is reporting today that Kim Zolciak’s spinoff show is a done deal!
A report first came out earlier this year stating the Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her costar Nene Leakes were in talks with Bravo to get their own shows.
While there’s no confirmation yet on the Nene’s show, Rob Shuter of the Huffington Post revealed today that Bravo is moving ahead with a reality show for Kim, a la Bethenny Frankel.
“Kim is a game-changer. She was the first housewife to release a single ["Tardy for the Party"] and just like Bethenny [Frankel], she fell in love and got pregnant while taping the show. She’s the perfect choice for the next lady to get her own show,” reveals an insider.
Bravo giving an Atlanta housewife their own spinoff isn’t exactly a major surprise as till this day, the franchise remains the highest rated housewives series for the network. The season three finale brought in a record breaking 4.4 million viewers. Season four began filming in April and is scheduled to debut before the end of this year. The RHOA seasons usually premiere in the fall.
“Kim’s new show is going to follow the very successful Bethenny formula,” an insider adds. “A new mom and her fiancé trying to make everything work. Juggling baby, boyfriend and career. But instead of all those trips to a therapist that Bethenny made, expect Kim to work out her problems at the nail salon with friends.”
Should definitely be an interesting show! The report that came out earlier this year stated that if either Kim or Nene got their own spinoff, they would be leaving the RHOA. So it’s very likely season 4 will be Kim’s last season on the show.
Kim gave birth to her third child, a baby boy, back in May, and is currently living with her NFL beau/baby daddy Kroy Biermann. There are rumors the two are engaged but nothing has been confirmed by Kim.

I don’t have anything against Kim, but this show has failure written all over it. Giving Bethenny her own show made sense for many reasons, she was getting married, having a baby, becoming a star, and moving on to other ventures.
What exactly does Kim do that makes Bravo think she can carry her own show? The whole “singing career” storyline seemed forced during season 3. She works best with a cast, this show will fail.
I think Bravo and E! are now tied in the ranks to becoming the National Enquirer networks for reality shows.
Behavior that is distasteful, classless, unethical, immoral, and talentless is not only exploited, but promoted. Anything for the sake of entertainment has become acceptable. In Kim’s case, here you have a woman who thinks nothing wrong of being a mistress (for love or money),. having children outside of marriage, a chronic liar, and smoking and drinking while pregnant. Yeah buddy, you know this is what young females need more of as role models (sarcasm) in our society today.
No, I will definately NOT be watching Kim’s show. She was hard to take on the housewives show, but at least there was other drama around to snuff her out. So good luck, but no way.
I like Kim. I think it will be interesting seeing her in some kind of healthy relationship. It would be really interesting if Big Poppa came back into the picture, but I don’t want to wish anyone that kind of drama – NeNe was bad enough!

WTF is she wearing in the picture above? It is so bad. To a lot of women out there who are about to get D or DD or higher breast implants, just look at Kim above – o and Kelly, Daniel and Peggy – it looks bad people and gross. The only time it looks good is when you are at the doctors office – it’s the lighting maybe.
I’d tune in to see if it’s any good. Kim”s a riot, but I would miss her on the real housewives. On the plus side, if the new show doesn’t work out, she can always return to RHWOA

Season 1 Kim I may have watched…she was ditzy and a bit superficial, like she is now, but she had some interesting aspects to her. But ever since season 2 she has had this diva attitude that’s EXTREMELY off-putting. I don’t like the way she treats people. Popularity has brought out the ugly in her.

The only thing that is positive coming from all this is that Kim has finally weaned herself off of NeNe’s saggin breast!! I hated that friendship and now that its officially over, thank God, because NeNe is a violent hog!!

I don’t think it’s fair for the only unethnic woman to get her own show, when it is clear the show is what it is because of NeNe. I am not a NeNe fan but fair is fair.
