NeNe Leakes has been quite mysterious about her love life on the Tweets lately. She posted a series of pics featuring very flashy gifts “he” gave her and is not giving away who “he” is. NeNe Tweeted: “Diamonds r a girls best friend & they just keep comin & comin & comin.”
Rumors have been circulating for months that The NeNe has been dating Famous Famiglia owner John Kolaj after NeNe opened her own franchise of the restaurant earlier this year and has been spotted out and about with the businessman. Is NeNe dating John or are they merely very friendly business associates?
Perhaps yes, but neither one of them is willing to give anything away. John recently admitted to WetPaint that he was indeed the giver of NeNe’s many gifts — including a Hermes Birkin, some Louboutins and some serious diamonds. “Absolutely, I gave her that ring! It’s 8 carats. I gave her a set of diamond earrings, too,” John readily enthused. As for the Louboutins, John added that yes, “I got her a few pairs.”
As for why John is showering NeNe with gifts that make any woman melt, John explains, “Nene Leakes is a smart, amazing woman who is a dear friend of mine, and I hope she’s in my life for a very, very long time.” However, when asked if he was dating NeNe, John merely replied “no comment.”
NeNe also played coy as to the nature of her relationship with John, telling Us Weekly, “He’s been flirting with me.” But the Glee star did seem to admit that they have some sort of relationship, telling the mag: “I’m not saying he’s The One, but he has a lot of the qualities I’m looking for.” And what might those qualities be? According to NeNe, “He’s very wealthy!”
NeNe has yet to file for divorce from husband Gregg Leakes, who she has been seen with around town recently. NeNe has repeatedly stated the divorce is happening, but their relationship remains amicable. NeNe is technically separated from her husband and who knows if she will go through with the actual divorce! In the meantime she’s been paling around with John.
So, who is John? He is a successful businessman who grew up in the Bronx and opened a chain of Italian fast food restaurants with his brothers. They now own over 140 franchises — including one NeNe opened last year. Viewers first saw John on an episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta when NeNe went on a cringe-inducing business lunch with the very over-the-top John. NeNe seemed mortified, disgusted, intrigued and then she said she liked him! A photo of NeNe and John out on the town is below.
Well, John promises that won’t be the last of him on the show. “I think I’m in three or four more episodes,” he reveals. “I’m not getting paid, and I’m not interested in the fame. I just feel lucky and blessed to be spending time with NeNe.” Oh, my…
And if you’re wondering what NeNe did for NYE — she apparently celebrated in Miami at P.Diddy‘s infamous bash! Diddy has made no secret of his NeNe love and demonstrated his affections by inviting her to his huge celeb-studded fete. Also in attendance were Rhianna, Vivica A. Fox, and Queen Latifah. NeNe confirmed her attendance, tweeting: “As I ring n the New Year wit my boy @iamdiddy @ his home! I’m so Blessed! Happy New Year 2 all”
According to Tamra Tattles, NeNe showed up dateless, but looked cute. A photo of NeNe at the bash is below. Wow — maybe the other ladies do have a reason to be jealous of NeNe’s success!
