Watch What Happens Live - Season 12

It’s no surprise that after last season’s less than stellar Real Housewives Of Atlanta ratings cast changes were going to happen. It’s also no surprise that after NeNe Leakes threw a tantrum about unmarried, non-Atlanta housewives that Claudia Jordan was going to get the axe!

Clawdia went big – and she went home. The ambitious newbie Housewife tried to set NeNe (and her wig) straight last season, but it didn’t do much to secure her place. Amid drama with biased producers (who also got fired) and fighting with NeNe, it seems Claudia’s firing was imminent. And hopefully she takes her toes with her!

RHOA is currently casting season 8, but Claudia learned this week she will not be returning! Season 8 currently includes NeNe, Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore. However, the rest of the cast – meaning Cynthia Bailey (her cheating storyline husband Peachter), Phaedra Parks, and Porsha Williams – haven’t been confirmed. Only NeNe, Kandi, and Kenya were present at last month’s Bravo Upfronts

Sources tell TMZ that Claudia was shocked and “didn’t see it coming” when producers told her “girl, bye.”

Season 8 starts filming next month. Claudia, who still works with Porsha on Dish Nation, may return for “guest appearances” depending on what Bravo decides. “It’s still too early to tell,” says E! News, who also confirms that Claudia will not return as a Housewife.

However their source insists that contrary to reports, Claudia’s firing had nothing to do with NeNe’s complaining. Bravo just wants to take the show in a different direction – a more Atlanta-centered direction and focus on women native to the scene who have legit connections, but also because storylines have grown stale. So you mean, they want to make RHOA what it was? The source also states that no other casting changes have been decided.

Bravo seems to be making a lot of changes lately by removing inflammatory “drama-starting” Housewives and trying to return the shows to their origins. I can’t complain!
