Even though I was super excited to see what Teresa Giudice was going to be like post-prison when the last Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered, I was honestly pretty disappointed in the season overall. Pretty much nothing happened. Teresa became super zen and made up with Melissa Gorga and the only scandalous things that happened revolved around Jacqueline Laurita feuding with Teresa and/or Melissa. Now, I don’t know what to expect from the next season since it’s being reported that Jacqueline will not be a part of the cast!
I was usually a part of #TeamTeresa in her conflicts with Jacqueline, but now I feel like the next season is going to be boring without someone to fill that role as a villain. The original bad girl of RHONJ Danielle Staub will be back, but she’s on good terms with Teresa nowadays. I am not excited for a whole season of self-promotion and conflict-free episodes.

According to a Page Six article, Jacqueline and Kathy Wakile will not be back next season. Honestly, I have no idea why it’s being considered “news” that Kathy isn’t coming back since she hasn’t been a main cast member for the past two seasons. She’s only been on the show to back up Jacqueline, talk shit about Teresa, and try her best to promote those desserts. Even when she was a real cast member, she didn’t have too much excitement or scandal to offer the viewers, but I bet she is wishing she wrote to Teresa when she was in jail. Maybe that could have saved her spot on the show. Maybe Kathy’s too busy taking those family vacations around the world to film the show?
I figured that Jacqueline was a lock to come back next season since she has well-documented financial issues and could use the paycheck and publicity for whatever she is promoting these days. Not only that, but she is the only one willing to argue with Teresa. According to Page Six, she isn’t coming back because she asked for more money per episode than the network was willing to give her and a supposed “insider” said that, “she’s really highly paid.”
The Teresa fans are probably jumping for joy in response to two of her biggest foes not returning to the show, but I just can’t help wondering if the show is going to be boring without Jacqueline annoying the shit out of everyone in the cast. I guess we shall see.
The exit from the show isn’t the only bad news for Jacqueline these days. She shared an update about her son Nicholas on Instagram after he did not qualify for a stem cell research study. Jacqueline wrote, “We thought he was in. He passed all of the qualifications. They thought he wouldn’t be able to comply during all the long grueling testing and evaluations during the therapy. I’ve been crying all day.” That is tough news. It definitely puts the fuss around a reality show in perspective.
Jacqueline also said, “We were so excited to be part of the research and hopeful for a good outcome. It feels devastating. We won’t give up! We will just try something else I guess. I just wanted to share our frustration. In need of prayers. Thank you! XOXO!”
