The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members are known for their superior shade throwing abilities, except for Cynthia Bailey, who is known for being the nice and normal one in the cast. Sure, she says some funny things once in a while, but she’s never the one live tweeters are mentioning the most or the subject of memes. Every Housewives show has that one relatable person to round out the cast and Cynthia is that person- plus the fierce fashion and variety of hair and makeup combinations.
That’s why it’s so surprising that Cynthia is actually the one who came up with the idea for NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg Leakes to dress up as an exterminator and a roach for Halloween. After Kim Zolciak released a video of a bug in NeNe’s bathroom and accused her of having a roach-infested mansion. NeNe turned the scandal into a joke and ended up owning the situation, but it was actually Cynthia who helped her make such a clutch move.
Sure, it’s not that surprising that Cynthia masterminded the Leakes‘ couple costume since she does fully commit to Halloween herself. In her Bravo blog, Cynthia wrote, “I really committed to being 50 Cynt for the entire party, so it was pretty cool to win best costume. I was shocked that so many people actually did not recognize me, and all the ladies really loved 50 Cynt. Some of the other women (and actually a few guys, LOL), were flirting and hitting on me before they even realized that it was me!” I could see that. She really did look like a guy in that costume. She went all out and I loved it.
Nevertheless, I am over the fact that we are still acknowledging Cynthia’s 50th birthday. It’s been over a year. I’m happy that she’s happy. Cynthia looks amazing. I can go on and on with the list of things I love about Cynthia, but she just needs to stop trying to make 50 Cynt happen. No one is going to call her that. Ever. Even so, I have to give Cynthia props for merging her persona with 50 Cent for her Halloween costume. I just hope that her 51st birthday lasts one day- or at most a birthday weekend.
Then Cynthia addressed the most controversial outfit of the night. She revealed, “I actually was the one who gave NeNe and Gregg the idea to come to the party as an exterminator and a roach.” Shout out to Cynthia for being more shady than I ever thought she could be.
Cynthia wrote, “They killed it! The joke really was on Kim. Even Kroy [Biermann] and Sheree [Whitfield] thought it was funny.” And I’m sure that didn’t sit well with KZB that her man and her in-cast BFF laughed at the Halloween costumes. Nevertheless, I don’t even get why Kim would be offended by that. It wasn’t even a direct dig at Kim. She should have just laughed instead of giving NeNe the satisfaction of getting under skin, but obviously that’s not what happened.
