Backtracking to Saturday, Kim explained via Dancing with the Stars, “I had a blood cot which caused a mini stroke – TIA – and then I ended up being in the hospital for three days. I have not had time to even think about rehearsing. If I can dance, and I get a clean bill of health, I absolutely will because I love it. But my health comes first. It’s kind of up in the air.”
On her show today, Wendy reportedly called out Kim for sharing a selfie from her hospital bed and implied that Kim might be faking an illness to get out of the dance competition. While Wendy admitted that she hated her time on Dancing with the Stars and would have done anything – but fake a serious illness – to get out of it, she said Kim should have just stubbed her toe, called it a day, and went home. Kimignored it lashed out at Wendy on her Instagram.
Oh Monica. I don’t know if I’m more disappointed to find out that you’re friends with Kim Zolciak-Biermann or that you are okay being a part of last night’s Don’t Be Tardy. Either way, last night’s episode didn’t grate on my last nerve per the usual, and I truly enjoyed seeing a deeper side to Kim and Brielle’s mother-daughter relationship.
As the family jokes about Brielle’s ever present ditziness, Kroy suggests she check out Hooked on Phonics. Thanks for the tip, Kroy, but Brielle is just fine only speaking the language she knows. She’s not interested in learning a new one. When Kroy tries to explain that phonics isn’t a different language, I can actually see a light bulb turn on above Brielle’s head as she slowly whispers, “Oh Rosetta Stone!” Brielle has a new path and a plan. She wants to be the next Guiliana Rancic. Kim offers up her celebrity friends as practice interviews.
Originally, the Don’t Be Tardy star expected to be released from the hospital on Thursday. That didn’t happen. On Friday, Kim shared that she was going in for “one more procedure” but “things were looking up.” TMZ has since learned that the procedure Kim had done wasn’t for the stroke, but for a serious, underlying heart condition which was discovered while Kim was in the hospital.
Yikes! Kim Zolciak has suffered a Transient Ischemic Attack, aka a mini stroke. Since signing on as a contestant on the current season of Dancing With the Stars, Kim has been trying to figure out the logistics. Kim has been flying back and forth from her home in Atlanta and the DWTS studio in Los Angeles. And this week Kim’s body seems to be telling her enough, already!
Kim shared that right after arriving home on Wednesday morning, she was rushed to the hospital. She posted the selfie above, writing, “The last 24hrs have been whirlwind! I landed yesterday morning from LAX (took the red eye right after DWTS). I got home and within minutes suffered a TIA (mini stroke).”
Val considers his hometown New York City. “My parents dropped everything in Ukraine, their job, their friends, and came to New York City with nothing just so that their kids could become something,” shares Val. “Everything I have now is because of them.”
Once again, Val and Tamar butt heads in the rehearsal. When Val explains his vision for the dance, Tamar takes issue with him chasing her around shirtless. Wait, what? A shirtless Val is everything. #FansSelf #Shallow #DontCare I’m not here for Tamar making Val keep his shirt on.
About last week’s abysmal start, Kim says, “It was all kind of a blur – the scores and what they [the judges] said. I am really disappointed in myself because I obviously can do much better. But I mean where can you go from here but up?”
Kim focuses on Atlanta for “Hometown Glory” week.
“I grew up in Connecticut,” explains Kim, “but I have been here in Atlanta for 16 years. Atlanta’s where Big Poppa all my dreams came true. I met my amazing husband here. And I have had five of my children – out of six – here in Atlanta.”
Does Kim dance better this week? Avoid elimination?
