My mind is blown. I cannot believe how many reality TV stars welcomed babies this year.
Snooki & JWoww star Jenni Farley gave birth to her first child in July. “She is here!” proud daddy Roger Mathews shared on Twitter. “Meilani Alexandra Mathews, 7 lbs, 13 ounces. Words can’t describe what looking into your child’s eyes can do to you. I’m humbled.”

Someone at Time Magazine, who has way too much time on his or her hands, decided to run the tweets written by the 500 most followed celebrities through a reading comprehension test to determine the 50 Smartest Celebrities on Twitter. The test adds up the number of three-syllable words used in a tweet to calculate the education level required to understand it.
Time reported, the average Twitter user tweets at a 4th grade reading level.
Leonardo DiCaprio took the #1 spot with a 7.5 grade reading level. He tweets a lot about ocean conservation, so this is not surprising. Pattie Mallette, the woman who gave us Justin Bieber, ranked #2. My guess is that the three-syllable word “beliebers” helped her win this spot. Jenni “JWoww” Farley was one of the highest ranking reality TV stars!
Wow! Is American Idol really aiming for an all-alumni judging panel? This crazy – crazy good? crazy bad? not sure yet! – rumor seems to be true, and Jennifer Hudson is reportedly the first one to sign on the dotted line.
E! News reports that Jennifer will judge season 13 of American Idol with two other former contestants. Sources claim that producers want Kelly Clarkson, who is purportedly thisclose to accepting the gig, and either Adam Lambertor Clay Aiken.
Forbes recently released its list of top American Idol earners from 2012.
Kelly Clarkson tops the list – moving up from fifth place in 2011 – with $8 million in earnings. Kelly can thank her "gold" album Stronger, appearances on The Voice, Toyota commercial, and successful tour for her success.
Kelly stole the number one spot away from Carrie Underwood. This year, Carrie shares the number two spot with Chris Daughtry's band Daughtry – with $5 million in earnings. Forbes reports that Carrie and Chris each earn six figures for one single concert. It must be nice to be an American Idol!
Justin Guarini, runner-up to Kelly Clarkson in the first season of American Idol, is getting married this weekend.
The 30-year-old singer will tie the knot with fiancee, Reina Capodici this Saturday on a private estate along the Delaware River near both their families’ homes in Pennsylvania, Usmagazine.com has learned.
Though Justin and Reina dated for a few years, they’ve known each other since they were teens. Justin will become a stepfather to Reina’s 4-year-old daughter Lola, from a previous relationship.
A female minister from the Universal Church will preside over the ceremony and the couple intend to recite vows they’ve written themselves.
Last weekend, Justin covered the Emmy Awards for the TV Guide Channel. He also plans to return to the studio to record his third CD.
American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi weds contractor boyfriend, Mike McCuddy after dating for a year and a half in Prospect Harbor, Maine, according to Usmagazine.com. McCuddy proposed on Dec. 8, 2008 on DioGuardi’s 38th birthday.
The ceremony was attended by very close friends and family members. There were no idol judges present. “They are absolutely in love with each other,” Pastor Nurse tells Us. “When I told him he could kiss the bride, everybody cheered. It was a very close, small family-type service.”
The newly married AI judge will return for season nine of American idol with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest later this summer.
Among DioGuardi’s hits have been “I Do Not Hook Up,” with Kelly Clarkson; “Ain’t No Other Man,” with Christina Aguilera; and “Pieces of Me,” with Ashlee Simspon-Wentz. DioGuardi, a talented songwriter is expected to work with Rascal Flatts and Little Big Town in August.
