The biggest loser season 17 cast

Well, we knew this was coming. The Biggest Loser has been doing whatever they possibly can to make the upcoming season a bit more exciting for viewers. First, we learned that Bob Harper would be taking over as the show’s host after Alison Sweeney decided to step down. Then we learned that two celebrities would be joining the cast for the new season, but we were all left scratching our heads wondering who it could be.

So, who exactly will be competing on season 17? Well, sorry to bum out all of you Kardashian fans, but Rob Kardashian will not be one of the reality stars that you will see on the upcoming season. Instead, we’ve got one former Survivor winner and one former contestant from The Voice.

Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars

Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars is set to return next year – and WE tv has announced which reality TV stars have begged agreed to air their dirty laundry for another 15 minutes of fame. #TheAmericanDream

As previously reported, Reid and Aviva Drescher have agreed to do the show. Apparently, the Real Housewives of New York star’s obsession with fame and need for attention is causing a rift in their marriage, so they’re going on a reality TV show to work on it. Because, of course.

The Hills couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have also signed up. I guess Celebrity Wife Swap didn’t solve their problems, so off to Marriage Boot Camp they go. First problem: they are flat broke. Second problem: Heidi really wants to start a family, but alllllll Spencer wants to do is party.

Duck Dynasty

If you're not watching Duck Dynasty, you're really missing out on fun-filled, family-friendly, drama-free "reality" television.  However, I'm guessing that the majority of you ARE watching because season three's one hour finale was record-breaking.  A&E's gem garnered 9.6 million viewers making it the most watched show on Wednesday night, blowing normal competitors like American Idol and Survivor out of the water.

Entertainment Weekly has the numbers, and it's truly phenomenal.  American Idol only had a 3.3 rating on Wednesday, with Survivor scoring a 2.9 rating.  The Robertson's series averaged 8.4 million total viewers per episode this season which is up 95% from its sophomore season, delivering a 4.3 rating among adults 18-49. Clearly, Soncie has been spreading the word to get folks to watch her beloved Si!  Numbers like this have catapulted the series to into ratings gold, making it the cable's most watched reality show so far this year.  If that wasn't enough, Duck Dynasty is the second most watched show (reality or otherwise!) behind AMC's Walking Dead.  Way to go, Robertsons, and keep it coming!

To celebrate the monumentous occasion, A&E tweeted the above picture.  It's proof positive that you can never, ever have too much camo.

TELL US-ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT THE ROBERTSONS DOMINATED AMERICAN IDOL?

Last night was the two hour finale of Survivor, and it’s a battle among the last ladies standing.  Jeff Probst recaps the season’s highlights, including Colton Cumbie’s rise to power and prompt demise and the ladies’ ultimate come back.

It’s the thirty-sixth night on the beach, and the women have voted off the last man.  Alicia is very confident in her friendship with Kim, but I think she may be tooting her own horn a tad too early.  The following day, Sabrina and Kim collect the tree-mail.  Kim approaches Sabrina about voting off Chelsea next, as she’s worried Chelsea will garner lots of jury votes.  While she plays cool, Sabrina is shocked that Kim is targeting her best friend because she’s popular with the castoffs.  However, it does make the likeable Sabrina wonder if she’s next on the chopping block.  No one is worried about the jury voting for Alicia and Christina. I have now decided I either want Chelsea or Sabrina to win.  Only took me an entire season to make that wishy washy determination…

The immunity challenge is pretty intense.  After untying several knotted ropes to get through a makeshift gate, each player must race along a balance beam maze, and must start back at the beginning in the event they fall.  After the maze, they will traverse a giant rope net collecting bags of (what else?) puzzle pieces.  The assembled puzzles will give three number clues the women must use to unlock a combination which will free their flags.  Christina is the first out of the gate, followed by Kim.  They are also the first to fall off to start again.  Alicia finishes the maze first with Chelsea right on her heels.  Chelsea is the first to collect her bags, but everyone is neck and neck on the puzzle.  Sabrina falls behind, but Kim and Chelsea are neck and neck.  Kim assembles her puzzle first, followed by Alicia.  Kim can’t get her combination right, and after multiple tries, she returns to the puzzle.  Alicia follows suit.  Kim, Chelsea, and Alicia are all up working on their combinations at the same time, and Kim finally gets it right, winning immunity.
