Are Adam Lind And Jeremy Calvert Being Forced To Film For Teen Mom 2?

According to reports, Jeremy Calvert and Adam Lind are still filming for the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2 – but not by choice!

Allegedly, despite that fact that they both quit, MTV is legally able to demand Adam and Jeremy participate in the “new” season because an existing contract extension clause is being exercised by MTV. So both guys have been forced to film again.

“Both guys signed on for Season 7, and wanted out while filming last season. Neither planned to do any more episodes after that, but MTV kind of pulled a fast one on them and simply extended the season,” shares a source. “Instead of the new season being Season 8, it is now Season 7B, which means there were no new contracts signed.”

“It’s unavoidable,” an insider explains to The Ashley. “They can’t get out of it because they already signed.” The insider adds that the network has also done this “once before.”

Even worse – Jeremy and Adam aren’t even being paid the full cast member salary and are receiving “a ‘pro-rated’ version.” If they decide to return back for season 8, they’ll have the option to renegotiate pay and other concessions, although an insider maintains that won’t be happening. “Jeremy is so done.

“MTV keeps trying to throw money at him, but he is not taking it. He just wants away from all the craziness that being on the show brings,” the insider adds. “Unfortunately, he has to honor the full Season 7 contract that he signed before he can be done.”

Last week, Jeremy erupted in an Instagram rant about how much he regrets involving himself with Leah Messer Teen Mom 2. “The BS has completely ruined my life,” he complained. “I don’t need Teen Mom in my life. The money isn’t amazing or enough to live off of either, I have a job.” Apparently Jeremy is the cheese who stands alone in that regard. OK, maybe Javi Marroquin and Chelsea Houska stand beside him, but they occupy a small plate of artisanal cheeses in the territory of Teen Mom stars who do not rely on the show as their sole income

Adam and Jeremy have tried to leave numerous times and have been vocal about calling the show out. It does seem like opening Pandora’s Box. Regardless, MTV just won’t quit them.

Adam panned the show for making him look bad – which honestly, MTV didn’t need to try. There’s been recent reports that Adam has resorted to behaving like Farrah Abraham trying to make the producers’ lives a living hell by being rude and impossible to work with in the hopes that he’ll be fired.

Except MTV isn’t caving so easily. The Ashley reports that IF the network orders another season of the show the entire cast will then have the option to re-sign new contracts, but until then they’re all trapped by the 7B addendum.
