Leah Messer Fights Back After Losing Custody Of The Twins! Will She Lose Custody Of Addie Too?

Leah Messer on the cover of Us Weekly after losing custody of twins

Earlier this month Leah Messer Simms Calvert Messer lost custody of her 5-year-old twin daughters Ali and Aleeah. After a tumultuous year of drug accusations, cheating, divorce, rehab treatment, and questionable behavior Leah’s first ex-husband Corey Simms finally took her to court and was awarded full custody.

Leah once had primary custody, with Corey getting the twins on weekends. Lately Leah’s increasingly erratic behavior (which Leah blamed on anxiety, depression, and poor coping skills – NOT DRUGS or Robbie Kidd‘s peen!) has everyone concerned about the Teen Mom 2 star’s ability to care for her daughters. After repeated school tardies and absences, Corey had enough of waiting for Leah to get her act together!

Leah is devastated by the judge’s decision, but determined fight back by appearing on the cover of Us Weekly to question Corey’s motives. Leah has also filed a motion for the court to reconsider their decision.

“I feel like they should have both of us in their lives,” says Leah, whose custody is now reduced to weekend visitation.

Leah compares the custody decision to feeling like “a slap in the face.”

And since Leah has learned all about taking accountability in therapy, she blames Corey and his wife Miranda for her custody being revoked. “Corey will do anything to hurt me,” accuses Leah in the article. Leah believes Corey (prodded by Miranda, I presume?) used her treatment for anxiety and depression against her, and sought custody to avoid his child support payments!

“I think child support has a lot to do with it,” alleges Leah, who suggests Corey’s is trying to get out of the $800(!) per month he pays in child support. Especially now that he is expecting with his wife Miranda. Leah has been accused of misusing the child support money to fund her pill addiction and squandering it, all while not taking proper care of the twins as she ran around town having affairs and partying

Leah infers that Miranda is at the root of Corey taking her to court. “When Miranda and him first met, that’s when he started the full-custody thing,” she complains. Leah feels strongly that Miranda is too involved. Uh, perhaps because Miranda is an ADULT and sees how unfit Leah is?! Leah and Miranda supposedly got into a super nasty fight during the reunion taping over Leah’s lies and excuses.

Leah also implies Miranda has a vendetta against her. In the article Leah allegedly confesses to “hooking up” with Corey just after his 2013 wedding to Miranda. Leah has alluded to this several times in the past, but in the Us Weekly article reportedly she confirms it

A source close to the situation dismisses Leah’s accusations and says Corey’s decision to fight for custody again began in late-August when he learned Leah wasn’t getting the twins to school on time – or at all. “They were missing and they were tardy.” The source adds that records from the school can verify 10 tardies in August and September.

Leah denies this completely.

Defending herself, Leah takes credit for only ONE tardy. She took the the issue to the school board where a hearing was held October 19th at her behest. Leah who can barely spell or speak clearly in front of the school board… uh huh. “I talked to the superintendent and I’m sending them the [time-stamped] pictures I took to prove the girls were not tardy,” declares Lean. Leah swears the school board is removing the tardies from Ali and Aleeah’s record. “They’re going to take them off.” Us Weekly reports that school officials could not be reached for comment.

Leah insists she’s fighting back for the sake of her daughters. “At the end of the day, my kids are going to be happy,” she declares. “And I don’t care what I have to do to make them happy.” How about get your act together?

In some shady tweets, Leah attempts to embrace the custody situation. “There’s nothing like actually having actual QUALITY time with my girls, for once. We aren’t running around to apts but INSTEAD we are having a fun filled weekend together. ENJOYING each other as a family. At the end of the day that’s what matters most ! #memories.” Well, yay for being positive!

Corey and Miranda have expressed concern over Leah’s ability to care for the girls for months – as shown in Teen Mom 2 when Corey questioned Leah over allegations of her addiction to pills. Corey and Leah have fought over custody before but a judge decided to keep custody the same. Corey also considered seeking full custody while Leah was in rehab, but was persuaded to giver her an opportunity to clean up her act.

Now that Corey has been awarded full custody, an insider tells In Touch Weekly that Jeremy Calvert may attempt to fight for full custody of Addie, his 2-year-old daughter with Leah

“Everyone is very worried about Addie,” expresses a source. Recently while Addie was in Leah’s care she was found wandering around outside the house alone. This incident, where police thankfully returned Addie unharmed, has Jeremy seriously concerned.

Jeremy and Leah divorced this summer, while she was in rehab, over rumors of her cheating. Leah shared recently that there is no formal custody arrangement, but she has Addie the majority of the time and Jeremy sees her “when he can.” Leah insists they get along great and are friends.

A source contests this and says Jeremy is actually hoping to secure the same custody arrangement as Corey. He probably wants to avoid paying that misused child support check as well!

Leah is currently filming Teen Mom 2 season 7, but Jeremy and Corey have apparently both decided to quit the show. Which means we’ll be treated to Leah’s entirely one-sided perspective in the upcoming season! Glory to the delusional be!
