Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, & Camille Grammer Share Opinions On Denise Richards Joining Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills; Denise Shares Her Initial Impressions Of The Cast

After the least eventful season in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills history, every single cast member was brought back for Season 9. That does not seem like the go-to tactic to restore the show to its former glory, but there is one new addition to the cast: Denise Richards.

As of this moment, there’s no word on Denise’s storyline, minus that surprise marriage. Let’s just hope that Denise ends up breathing some (much-needed) new life into this show. Beverly Hills vets Camille Grammer, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley shared their first impressions of Denise. The good news is that they all seem to love her, so hopefully the viewers do too. The bad news is that they all seem to love her, so hopefully the viewers aren’t bored. Again.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Camille said, “The thing about Denise is that she’s really chill and down to earth. But she will stand up for herself.” Hopefully someone has given her some good reason to stand up for herself and she doesn’t have to “speak up” for some weak story line. Camille also said, “She won’t start the drama”…. but hopefully someone does. We cannot have another drama-free season.

Erika– someone who is far from being easily impressed- even admitted, “I really like Denise. Denise is very cool.” Erika also said, “She’s been around a very long time. She knows what’s important and what isn’t.” That gave me immediate flashbacks to two seasons ago when Erika told Dorit, “I say important shit. You say too much boring shit.”

Erika wasn’t done with the praise though. She added, “I think you’ll see her as very levelheaded. And actually very bright. Because she says some things sometimes that are very unexpected that sum up ideas very quickly. I think you’d be surprised at some of the insights she really has.”

Last season, Erika and Dorit did not take to new girl Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, but they both are feeling Denise, so far at least. Dorit said, “She’s such a cool girl. She’s so down to earth.” Dorit, gravitating to someone who is down to earth? Now, that’s a plot twist.

Nevertheless, Dorit said, “I really connect with her … We have a blossoming friendship. We check in all the time. I’ve really enjoyed her! I’m really happy she’s on the cast.” She added that Denise is “very easy to get along with,” but hopefully in a very entertaining way for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers.

The love fest between Denise and the cast is mutual. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Denise said, “I love all of them.” I get that, but what about the Season 9 story lines!? I don’t know if I can handle another boring season. Yes, I will watch every single episode, multiple times, but I will not be happy about it.

Denise teased, “No catfights with me, so far.” Alright. I guess we will see how this goes. Hopefully everyone is getting along in a very entertaining way, so we aren’t stuck watching a season full of glam squad sessions and overdone self-promotion.
