The cast of Real Housewives of Potomac are on the verge of igniting. Since the fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard, sides have been taken. And there is a clear line between the ladies that have a zero tolerance policy for physical assault and those that see gray. Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Wendy Osefo are on the side of Candiace. Ashley Darby has isolated herself in Monique’s camp, while Karen Huger tried to play both sides.
All of this shimmering tension will come to a head on the season finale, when a fight breaks out between the Michael Darby and Chris Bassett. This altercation will include their wives, Ashley and Candiace. Of course, this was long overdue since Ashley confessed to writing a statement in defense of Monique. Candiace took the news relatively well when it was revealed in Portugal. But clearly there was no resolution, and Monique was not there to deal with the fallout either. So, with all of these issues simmering, it’s no wonder RHOP had an explosive reunion this season.
The trailer has just been released for the three part reunion, set to air on December 13th, 20th, and the 27th. People got a sneak peak for whats in store.
Of course, Karen and Gizelle take friendly jabs at each other. Karen says that Gizelle’s wardrobe has been a source of great amusement during the pandemic. “I am obsessed with your clothing. Your taste sucks, but it’s been very therapeutic in quarantine.” Karen recently threw shade at Gizelle’s failed makeup line.

In a more reflective tone, Karen can be heard saying that, “we have broken each other this year. Talk to God, do whatever you have to do to get this right. This is new beginning if we are willing to pull together.” This is certainly the most fragmented we have seen the cast, and a time when the the hurt inflicted was internal, rather than outside issues like Michael’s many public scandals.
But the central topic is the fight between Monique and Candiace of course, and once again, husbands get involved. This time Chris Samuels is trying to do damage control. At one point, he is filmed saying, “if we don’t get to owning up to this it’s gonna be some real mess up on the stage.” Another time, Chris said, “hurt people hurt people. Go get some help,” as an overwhelmed Candiace walks offstage.

In an interesting turn of events, Monique goes after Michael with “receipts” regarding his infidelity scandal. The book of receipts, aka “thirst book,” contains bombshell info that will hurt the only housewife that stood by her.
Monique also goes after Gizelle and her pastor ex-husband/boyfriend. She said, “your pastor boyfriend is swinging his big d all over Atlanta.”
Will anyone be spared the wrath of the “thirst book?”
