The divorce drama between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has taken a turn for the worst. Over the last few days, Kanye has been sharing suggestive memes and screenshots of his text conversations with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star to his Instagram account. The pictures were often accompanied by rambling captions in all caps. He has since deleted all the posts and tried to take a more conciliatory tone. He posted a pic of himself on stage and captioned it in part, “I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be [a] good leader is to be a good listener.”
Unfortunately, Bethenny Frankel knows all too well how a divorce can quickly spiral out of control. The former Real Housewives of New York star went through an incredibly acrimonious divorce with Jason Hoppy. It was so bitter that it took 8 years after their split to settle. So Bethenny offered some insight and advice to Kanye in the midst of his split.
As reported by Daily Mail, Bethenny address him in an episode of her podcast, Just B with Bethenny Frankel. Said Bethenny, “My advice to Kanye would be, you have to stay the course you cannot go rogue and take matters into your own hands when it comes to the divorce and custody process – it will only hurt you. Kanye in particular he’s talking into the court of public opinion instead of talking to the court of the custody of your children.” Kim and Kanye share 4 kids ranging in age from 8 to 2 years old.
Bethenny reflected, “Kim and Kanye were married for several years, he really adored her, they had this beautiful family and this great life and things then unraveled.” She added, “It happened to me, it happens to everyone.”

Bethenny also added a video clip of her podcast discussion to Instagram. She included a lengthy caption. Bethenny began, “You cannot play to the court of public opinion and avoid the court of law. Custody & Divorce is a process (albeit a sometimes long and arduous one)….you cannot beat the system. You cannot PR your way out of it and judges do not like side shows & games.”
She continued, “Like a terrible storm or a personal loss, you simply must face challenges head on no matter how emotionally challenging that may be. Faith, hope, patience will and survival are the means to survive something so difficult. When dealing with children, the stakes are as high as possible. You cannot play games. Anything can happen in a court room. He is clearly going through something emotional that supersedes reason and logic, but someone has to get through to him….it’s a serious matter from an emotional and custody standpoint.”

Bethenny went also went through her own lengthy custody battle with her now 11 year old daughter that she shares with Jason. In December of 2021, Bethenny was finally able to stop paying Jason child support since their daughter primarily lives with her.
