Forget pinky’s out, today it’s all about the middle finger. Pinky’s out can refer to the proper way to drink champagne. And, the middle finger I want to talk about belongs to our favorite bubbly drinking Real Housewife of Orange County, Heather Dubrow. Coincidence? I think not.
Heather and Terry Dubrow have been making all kinds of headlines recently, with regard to their children. Specifically, their parenting style and how supportive it is. And when you have a universe in which Rihanna, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and I all agree on something, you know it must be true.
Heather has been quite vocal about her four children all having differing genders and sexual orientations. And as much as Noella Bergener has tried to make it a thing, the one thing Heather doesn’t have, is straight fragility. Noella needs to keep her thoughts to herself and concentrate on buying age-appropriate gifts. Just saying.
When Max Dubrow came out as bisexual, and wrote a book about it, Heather threw her a party. Kat Dubrow came out as a lesbian but wanted to do so quietly. So, Heather gardened with her and told Kat to do her and not worry about what anyone else thinks. Say what you will, but this is good parenting.
We just watched as Heather and fellow RHOC Gina Kirschenheiter just took her twins, Nicky Dubrow and Max to visit Syracuse. A) because Heather went there and is hosting a live podcast, and B) to take the twins on a college visit. There were some really cute family moments along the way.
Now, Heather is bonding with her 18-year-old twins in a whole other way. According to an Instagram post by Max, the threesome went and got matching tattoos. The pictures were captioned, “tongues out tattoos on.” And not just any tattoo. Not the Dubrow’s. Nope, they got the morse code symbol for the letter ‘D.’ On their middle fingers, natch. As you do.
Kinda makes the wedding ring Tamra Judge got tattooed, and subsequently removed, I might add, not look so good. No? And you just know that Vicki Gunvalson is spitting mad that she didn’t come up with this move with Briana Culberson and Michael Wolfsmith. Using your children for a storyline, be damned.
