To her detriment perhaps, Brittany Cartwright lovingly accepted Jax Taylor just the way he is. Vanderpump Rules fans will recall the amount of times Brittany has taken the hit for Jax going off the rails at cast mates and friends. It made for great reality TV, but not, perhaps, a marriage. Though at this point, no one is asking questions. Brittany and Jax seem to be stronger in their relationship after welcoming son, Cruz.
Yet, and still, Jax erupts and creates unnecessary drama for his wife. Now, Brittany’s friendship with Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder Clark is on the line. The Kentucky native recently went on former costar Scheana Shay’s podcast to spill the tea.
Page Six reported that the initial fallout happened after Brittany and Jax bailed on attending Stassi’s dream wedding in Rome, Italy in June. Since then, Stassi has ignored all communication from Brittany, and now we have further information as to why.
“I feel terrible and still feel terrible and I do love them. I think about it all the time. I’ve reached out since the wedding,” Brittany said during her appearance on the “Scheananigans with Scheana Shay” podcast. “I haven’t gotten any response just yet. I’ll try again in a couple weeks or something. I just like to make things right.”
And because this involves Jax, one must assume that the delivery of the couples’ need to bail was severely lacking any decorum. Indeed, Brittany confirmed that Stassi and husband Beau Clark received the cancellation from “rage” texts that Jax sent.
Brittany explained what happened, “Jax started getting in his head, getting worked up about flying with the baby. You know how Jax is, he’ll just text and rage text. He was telling their best friend Rob and he ended up showing them the message.”
This is familiar behavior for Vanderpump Rules fans. Again, Brittany takes the role of explaining and apologizing for Jax’s behavior, but denies any involvement.
“He shouldn’t have done it,” Brittany continued. “I was very upset with him. I apologized like I’m so sorry we’re still planning on going. They got so mad at us and didn’t talk to us for a couple of weeks. We didn’t hardly hear from them, and I kept saying I’m so sorry.”
In the end, issues with Cruz’s passport kept the couple from attending the nuptials. But despite her son’s document not arriving on time, Brittany still felt “guilty” and “bad.”
She revealed to Scheana, “It was so nerve wracking. I was breaking out in hives. I did not want to upset them. I wanted to make it. It was down to the last minute, am I gonna go by myself? I felt so bad, and I still feel bad. I’m just trying to give her time. Maybe in a couple months, I don’t know, we’ll be able to talk it out talk it over.”
Fellow mother Scheana empathized with Brittany’s situation, though presumably not with Jax’s “rage” texts. She pointed out that the couple attended Stassi and Beau’s prior wedding celebration. In September 2020, the Clarks were legally married in the States, then had a dream destination wedding in Rome last month.
Referring to Stassi’s cold shoulder, Scheana opined, “she should have more compassion for the situation. Let’s point out that you were at the wedding, her real wedding, your first wedding. You were there. You helped plan. This is a second wedding celebration out of the country.”
Stassi can now join the likes of Lisa Vanderpump, who also chooses not to have much to do with Jax and Brittany.
