Andy Cohen Says Vanity Fair Article Was a ‘Factually Incorrect Rehash’

Now that BravoCon 2023 has been and gone, it’s time for everyone’s favorite Real Housewives to face the music. There’s been a lot of chatter surrounding the series, Andy Cohen, and the culture behind the scenes. Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel has been on a mission to revolutionize reality TV by starting its first-ever union.

“Hollywood is on strike. Entertainers are fighting for residuals, and no one will promote anything. Why isn’t reality TV on strike?” Bethenny asked in July 2023. “I myself have generated millions and millions of dollars in advertising and online impressions being on reality TV and have never made a single residual,” she stated. “So, either I’m missing something, or we’re getting screwed too.”

However, it’s not just about the money. After the Bravoverse imploded following the news of Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss’ salacious affair, B took the former Vanderpump Rules star under her wing. Since then, she’s spoken with NeNe Leakes — who sued the network in April 2022 — about her experience with Bravo and Andy.

Andy is unbothered…

Following her bombshell interviews with Rachel and NeNe and her personal revelations, more reality TV stars have spoken publicly about what they’ve gone through for the sake of entertainment.

“The more pain people are in, the better the ratings are. The more people that are hurt, the better the ratings are. And it always turns out to be women,” Summer House star Hannah Berner said.

No one gives a f*ck about reality TV stars. They abuse the shit out of them and then go, ‘But you have 100,000 Instagram followers. Shut the f*ck up.’”

Bethenny’s campaign has stirred up much conversation. Vanity Fair published an exposé about the Real Housewives and interviewed stars like Leah McSweeney, Eboni K. Williams, and the OG of NYC, Bethenny. Shocking allegations were made — including Leah’s employment discrimination lawsuit

But despite the claims, Andy revealed the in-depth piece was laced with inaccurate reports.

“I thought that it was a factually incorrect rehash,” he said.

And during an earlier BravoCon panel, Andy shared his thoughts on Bethenny’s latest crusade

“Bravo, as we all can see — Bravo and the shows that are on Bravo — bring millions of people so much joy and so much happiness.”
