When Katie met Katie. Of course, this has to do with the hook up of the season on Winter House. Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz had a romantic connection with Below Deck Mediterranean alum Katie Flood while filming Season 3 of the hit reality TV series.
But the smitten duo weren’t quite able to make it more than a vacation fling, and they left it at friendship. Among other issues, Tom was stuck on the fact that his new crush had the same first, and middle name as his ex-wife, Katie Maloney.
And while Tom and Floody, as she is known to her inner circle, have remained friends, what about the two ladies? Have they had any contact and was Katie as upset about the hookup as her ex-husband thought she would be?
Katie Flood meets Katie Maloney: The ladies had a “very brief” meeting at BravoCon
Katie did meet Tom’s ex-wife at BravoCon in November. She spilled all the tea while on the December 5 episode of Watch What Happens Live.
“Katie was actually one of the first people I met at BravoCon,” the seasoned yachtie revealed. “It was when we were checking into our hotel because we were all staying at the same hotel. It was a very brief, ‘Hello, nice to meet you.’ Very civil.”
Host Andy Cohen wanted to know if the Vanderpump Rules star knew that Katie had hooked up with Tom when they met at the Las Vegas event.
“I assumed so. I’m sure she definitely knows who I am now,” the Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew replied.
“It was very brief,” Katie added, saying that there was no awkwardness at the time. “I wish I could give you more tea than that, and then we didn’t cross paths again.”
It’s an interesting conclusion of events considering that Tom was very concerned that hooking up with Katie would have wounded his ex-wife. Would he have let himself pursue the New Zealand native further had he known otherwise? That’s a question for another Winter House season perhaps.
