RHONJ’s Jennifer Aydin Branded a ‘Karen’ for Complaining About ZARA Online

Dorit Kemsley isn’t the only Real Housewives star being slammed as a “Karen” — add Jennifer Aydin to that list as well.

Before jumping into this story, Real Housewives of New Jersey fans know Jennifer isn’t one to mince her words. She has a no-nonsense personality, says what’s on her mind, and might even throw an object a time or two to get her point across.

These are all things many love about her on reality TV. But viewers begin doing a double-take when that “showman” personality crossed over into the real world.

Jennifer is upset with Zara over their policy…

On January 9, Jennifer posted a now-deleted message on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Thanks a lot to @ZARA for not accepting my Christmas return because it was just barely out of the 30-day window,” she wrote.

Viewers instantly slammed the reality star for being tone-deaf and privileged.

“I cannot believe you are actually posting this!” one user wrote. “What makes you special!? You are so entitled and spoiled.” Another user argued that the Jersey Housewife was “too rich” to complain online about this. Somebody even asked her to consider donating the items to a local shelter.

However, another commenter took it to another level. They called the 46-year-old a “Karen” — a term typically used to describe women who display problematic behavior.

“Karen Translation,” the post read. “Thank you for not breaking your clearly stated policy for me ’cause I’m special and different and better than everyone else.”

This controversy comes a week after Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais slammed her castmate, Dorit. Garcelle said Dorit was exhibiting “unconscious Karen behavior.”

“There’s a pattern with you that I don’t know whether you’re aware of or not, but I’m just going to be completely blunt,” Garcelle told Dorit. “I feel like two years ago, we were talking about people of color. Has there been growth since the last time you were like, people of color have worked for you?”

Dorit, who understood Garcelle’s statement “holds a lot of implications,” said she was upset about the accusation.

“[This is a] very, very serious, dangerous accusation … [and] I’m not feeling comfortable with this at all.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is expected to return to Bravo in 2024.
