What’s the worst thing about being married to Scheana Shay, according to Brock Davies? They are the picture of wedded bliss. With their adorable two-year-old daughter, Summer, in tow, it’s just happy family vibes all around. Brock and Scheana had a wedding ceremony in August 2023 in Mexico and the event was filmed for Vanderpump Rules. Then, they pulled the biggest wedding surprise when they announced that they had been legally married a year prior.
But every couple has their issues. And in a recent episode of Scheana’s Scheananigans podcast, she prompted her husband to reveal what the biggest challenge of their marriage is, for him. Here’s what he had to say.
Brock and Scheana “meet in the middle” when it comes to parenting
On the January 12 episode of the podcast, the conversation turned to the issue of the Vanderpump Rules stars’ marriage.
Scheana asked a series of questions, including to name “the best and worst things about being married to [her].”
In his response, Brock revealed that he “think[s] they are both the same.”
“I think, honey, the best part about being married with you is the fact that you just make sure things get done. I think the worst part about being married to you is the fact you want everything to be done in a particular way,” Brock explained.
And the most important issue that the parents disagree on is how to deal with Summer.
“It’s tough, not going to lie. It is something that requires a lot of compromise,” Scheana said, referencing the contrast in parenting styles.
The Good as Gold singer is more soft with Summer, while her husband takes a tougher stance. But in the end, they “meet in the middle.”
“I understand when he wants to be really strict with the schedule. The long term benefits of that,” Scheana admitted. “And Brock is the first person to not suggest something without actually researching it … It is hard with the parenting differences because I just want to give her whatever she wants. And I want to keep her calm and happy and say yes to everything. But I know that’s not what’s best for her in the long run.”
