Ever since the bombshell lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen dropped, Bravolebrities have rallied around Andy. ICYMI – last week, former Real Housewives of New York star Leah McSweeney filed suit against Andy and the network with some shocking claims.
One such allegation was that Andy offered cocaine to his favorite Bravolebs. A rep from Camp Cohen immediately refuted the claims.
Now Melissa Gorga is joining the Andy Defense Squad and shared her thoughts with Page Six.
Melissa defends Andy, says he’s “approachable”
“Throughout my 14 years of working with Andy, I have witnessed nothing but respect, kindness and support. I have never been offered any type of drug by him ever,” Melissa stated.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star continued, “His leadership style exemplifies authenticity. He prioritizes open communication and he’s very approachable.”
Melissa has been a part of Real Housewives since 2011 when she joined the cast of RHONJ. Over 10 years later, Melissa’s addition to the cast has driven a huge wedge between her and her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice. Tre was an OG on the show and was less than thrilled when her brother, Joe Gorga, and wife Melissa signed on (allegedly behind her back).
Despite a close relationship with Andy, Tre has yet to speak out about the lawsuit.
Melissa concluded of Andy, “I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn and grow under his guidance and share in his success.”
Is Andy’s reputation in trouble?
While Melissa joins a large group of Housewives sticking up for Andy, Leah is on an island of her own, save for Brandi Glanville. The controversial former Housewife publicly accused Andy of being inappropriate via FaceTime.
In response to the firestorm, a source claimed that Andy hired a crisis PR team. The source called the move a “red flag.” The same insider also shared, “Everyone is rallying around him. They’re keeping the positivity.”
