Kristen Doute is back on Bravo alongside her longtime pals, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. The former Vanderpump Rules stars will showcase their new life as parents, their committed relationships, and life with their new crew of friends in the suburban Los Angeles neighborhood in The Valley.
The drama will also be explosive. According to the trailer and chatter around the Bravosphere, a lot is going on in this group of friends. Perhaps the most shocking so far has been Jax and Brittany’s current state of affairs.
Although it has not been confirmed that the pair are actually SPLIT, they have been spending time apart. Brittany shared the news with her podcast listeners a few weeks ago, saying the move was primarily for her mental health so that she could raise her son Cruz to the best of her ability.
Kristen is sending love to Jax and Brittany
Since hearing about Jax and Britt, Bravo raced back to The Valley to begin rolling the cameras. (They couldn’t miss this drama.) During this time, though, Brittany relies on her friends, like Kristen, to get her through the tough moments.
“I’m proud of Brittany for setting boundaries for making the choice for her,” Kristen told E News. “But I’m very hopeful that they can work this out. But that’s on Jax, that’s not on her.”
After she announced they’d been living separately, Brittany said she was willing to work with Jax if he made specific changes. According to Kristen, she’s still a friend to Jax, but her loyalty is to Brittany.
“I’m with Brittany, probably four to five days a week,” she said. “I still spend time with both Jax and Brittany together, not separately, of course. I’m as honest with him, as I am with her that this is on him to fix. And she’s given him the list. Like, this is what she needs from him. And that’s on him. I will continue to care about him. But I’m there for her.”
“I’m very hopeful that Jax will listen to her,” Kristen added, “and just do the work because she’s giving him that opportunity.”
The Valley will air on Bravo on March 19.
