Kyle Cooke has been in the middle of Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s mess since Season 1 of Summer House. Sure, the two weren’t official until the later years, but there has always been drama. As Season 8 unfolds and we start to see the breakdown of their engagement, it’s easy to wonder what Kyle thinks about all of it. Aside from Danielle Olivera, he’s probably known the two the longest out of anyone in the Hamptons house. He knows how they behave when they’re together, separated, or making things complicated.
Kyle appeared on Watch What Happens Live this week to talk about Summer House. Obviously, when you talk about the show these days, it’s impossible to avoid the Carl and Lindsay conversation. While he gave some of his own insight into their breakup, he was pretty diplomatic about the whole thing.

Kyle was asked a fan question about Carl’s history of calling off engagements on WWHL. In general, Kyle wasn’t there to bash his friend’s decision or overanalyze his emotions. He wanted to make it clear to the fans that he was not trying to be inserted into the drama surrounding the breakup. “Everyone’s like ‘Team Carl, Team Lindsay, pick one,’ there’s no teams,” Kyle explained. “They just were not meant to be, they’re both my friends, they’re better off.” We can’t agree more. While the breakup was definitely for the best, we kind of wish we got to watch Kyle walk down the aisle as a flower boy during Carl and Lindsay’s big day.
