Welcome to the recap for Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 3. Last week, Audrey had an epic 22nd birthday party. The shots were flowing, and so were the lap dances. But while Chris grinded on Audrey, two seats over Kim was crying to Natalie. She had overheard Marcus say he had fallen out of love with her. Would the “Ross and Rachel” of SUR be able to make up this time, or were they calling it quits for good? Here’s exactly what went down in Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 3: “Crash Out Queens.”
What happened in Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 3?

The on-again-off-again antics of Marcus and Kim had taken their toll on Venus. When he finally told them he’d had enough of their behavior, they retaliated by telling everyone what Venus had said behind their backs. Meanwhile, Shayne and Natalie had a promising moment, but that was quickly extinguished when Natalie told Shayne she was “bored.” And new hostess Angelica was introduced, who seemed like the total package to Jason, until she admitted she still lived with her ex.
Angelica made a memorable entrance

Welp, Marcus and Kim’s breakup lasted all of five minutes. After all the dramatics at Audrey’s party, the two sauntered into SUR like nothing had happened. And this pissed everyone off.
However, before the fighting began, it was time for the annual SUR photo shoot. But don’t expect everyone to get naked like years past. In her confessional, Lisa shared, “Life has changed. Businesses have changed. It’s necessary to keep evolving. If it’s a photo shoot, different staff. I think that’s been the secret to our longevity.”
And Lisa made it clear everyone had to feel comfortable. Still, the guys were up for taking their shirts off. Gotta show off those summer bodies after all. Then came in Angelica, the new hostess at SUR.
We got a Quentin Tarantino-esque shot of just her feet in five-inch heels navigating the bumpy alleyway of SUR. But that didn’t trip her up. It was the stage light instead. Angelica took a huge tumble right in front of everyone. It was a meet-cute moment with Jason admitting he wanted to catch her.
After that memorable entrance, Venus pulled Marcus aside and asked what changed between him and Kim from last night to today. Because last night was WWIII. Marcus gave a guilty grin and admitted they made up.
This exasperated Venus. He told Marcus he was tired of wasting his time comforting them. Marcus pulled his usual card of disengaging and said it wasn’t his problem. He said, “Stop getting involved with sh*t that got nothing to do with you.” Venus quipped back, “Quit involving everyone by doing it in front of every f*cking body.” Then Natalie joined in on the fun.
Natalie and Shayne get real

Natalie felt that her conversation with Marcus still wasn’t resolved. She wanted him to own they were friends because Demy was saying they weren’t. She got no support from Marcus and activated Kim instead.
Both Kim and Demy backpedaled from accepting Natalie’s apologies. Demy wasn’t over Natalie telling her off the night she yelled at her ex, Paulo. Natalie shouted to Demy, “You’re bitchy all the time; I was bitchy for one night!”
The next day, Natalie met up with Shayne to go indoor rock climbing. She wasn’t thrilled with the shoes, but Shayne was hot, so what the hell. But their conversation turned serious real quick.
Natalie shared she’d had major back surgery when she was young to fix her scoliosis. Shayne then dropped a bomb that he was “shot three times.”
He explained that he and his best friend got into a brawl and his friend got stabbed. When Shayne went to tackle the man who stabbed his friend, his friend started randomly shooting and accidentally shot him instead.
Shayne said in his confessional, “That fight ended up with me getting shot multiple times, and I was paralyzed.” He added he got tattoos over his entry and exit wounds because he didn’t want to take life seriously. He said, “I don’t want to look at life like I’m a victim.”
Later on at SUR, we finally got a Peter Madrigal sighting! Peter, rocking a mullet, was teaching Chris how to muddle mint. Meanwhile, Venus was shook at a text message he received from Marcus, who said he wanted nothing to do with him.
Venus responded that Kim and Marcus only cared about themselves. He wrote back, “I don’t want to hear about your clown ass relationship.” The friendship throuple had officially broken up.
Marcus and Kim went scorched earth on Venus

Not only is Angelica a master of taekwondo, but she also has a degree in neuroscience. So, basically, she’s the next Mayim Bialik. She’s also used to being the new girl, as she grew up in a military family.
So, Kim’s standoffishness to her wasn’t anything she couldn’t handle. However, once Kim assessed she didn’t seem interested in Marcus, she felt comfortable enough to trash talk Natalie to her. Kim warned, “She’s really nice, and then she’s like crazy.”
Speaking of crazy, that’s how Venus felt about Kim and Marcus. After their text-off, Marcus and Kim then went behind Venus’ back and told everyone at work what Venus felt about them. That’s low even for Bravo standards.
Venus said in his confessional, “I could do the same thing because he’s supposed to be my best friend, and you talk sh*t about people with your best friend. But I’m not tacky as f*ck.” He was now getting texts from fellow servers like Gabby calling him “low class.”
This did not sit right with Audrey. She said in her confessional, “Venus should be able to go to his best friends and tell them exactly how they’re making him feel and not have to have Kim and Marcus go scorched earth on him.”
Audrey then made good on her promise to Chris and took him horseback riding. The two continued to hit it off until Chris dished he’d been on two reality dating shows. Audrey asked if he was enjoying the single life or up for something more serious.
Chris said, “At this point in my life, if I don’t see anything long-term with someone, I’m not going to waste my time or their time.” And just like that, he was back in the game.
Venus went into crash out queen mode

It was another sunny LA day as the group met at a rooftop pool to hang out. Unsurprisingly, Marcus, Demy, and Kim were giving Natalie and Venus the stink eye. However, things were surprisingly tense between Natalie and Shayne.
When Shayne wanted to get clarity on their situationship, Natalie told him she was “bored.” In her confessional, she noted Shayne probably wasn’t used to having to work so hard. Were they over before they even began?
Jason was shocked to learn Angelica still lived with her ex. A red flag popped up, but he still asked her out to the gym.
The showdown then began between Venus and Kim. Venus admitted his approach was harsh, but he needed to set boundaries. When he asked why they told everyone what he said, Kim denied it. Cut to her admitting it to Audrey. He added that Gabby texted him he was a “low class b*tch.” Kim didn’t apologize and said he had hurt her feelings instead.
Venus then took his frustrations out on Gabby. He went into crash out queen mode and yelled at her in front of the group. First Venus told Kim’s friend Mikayla she looked good. Then he turned to Gabby and said, “Gabby, you look like a stupid b*tch.” Gabby responded with a classic, “Eat a f*cking d*ck.”
When Natalie came to Venus’ defense, Kim jumped in and called her crazy. Natalie asked, “Don’t you guys ever wanna move on or make any resolution?” As Kim and Marcus stormed off, the answer was plainly no.
Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
