Season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County should be a celebratory moment. After all, RHOC is the series that started it all. Fingers crossed that viewers are gifted such a season. Meanwhile, Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Jacqueline Laurita was reportedly approached about joining RHOC.
We already know that the series is down one housewife. Katie Ginella announced her firing, and now friend of the cast, Gretchen Rossi, is also exiting RHOC. It was a short visit for Gretchen, who returned to the series after leaving following Season 8. So, will Jacqueline pick up an orange?
Jacqueline Laurita “will not be joining” Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20
Several sources claim that Jacqueline is not crossing over to Orange County. “Jacqueline has been approached multiple times throughout the years to join RHOC, as she now resides in California, and has not been interested. However, this was the closest the conversation came to it being a reality,” an insider told RadarOnline, “as she was entertaining the idea.”
Another insider stated that instead of Jacqueline, the show “ended up going in a different direction.” In the end, production reportedly decided to go “with a newbie” for a full-time position. Meanwhile, another source claimed, “Jacqueline was making so much at the end of her stint on RHONJ, the offer would have had to be aggressive for her to even consider it in the first place. She knows her worth and isn’t desperate to return to TV, as she’s made clear in many interviews,” the insider added.
As of now, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, Jennifer Pedranti, and Vicki Gunvalson are set to return for Season 20. Vicki received her orange at BravoCon.
