Real Housewives of Atlanta “friend” Cynthia Bailey recently shared her feelings about a loss in the Bravo family. Mary Cosby, who stars on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, tragically lost her son, Robert Cosby, Jr. Naturally, the Bravo-verse and RHOSLC fans are rallying around Mary.
Last week, in a statement, Mary announced the death of her only child. ”Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace.” Robert passed away in Utah, with police allegedly responding to a suspected overdose.
Cynthia Bailey “didn’t feel like a text was the right thing to do”
Mary made no secret of Robert’s recent legal troubles, and he was released from jail in early February after serving two months. Meanwhile, during the past two seasons of RHOSLC, Mary and Robert had raw and emotional conversations about his addiction struggles.
Recently, during her Humble Brag with Cynthia and Crystal podcast, Cynthia shared how she reached out to Mary. “I was really paralyzed by this news when I got it, and I didn’t really know what to do, what to say,” Cynthia explained. Finally, she decided to call Mary. “To my surprise, she picked right up. First, I was like, ‘You didn’t have to pick up. I just wanted to call,’” the Atlanta peach said.
Cynthia stated that she “didn’t feel like a text was the right thing to do” amid this tragic situation. “I just wanted to call you and say, ‘I love you, and I’m here for you, and I’m so sorry for you and your family,’” Cynthia told Mary. She added that Mary repeatedly said, “It’s OK.” The RHOA star continued, “My heart goes out to her and her family, and I was really happy that I got a chance to actually talk to her. She’s pushing through, and she knows and appreciates everyone’s love and support.”
