Brittany Cartwright Blasts Internet Trolls Who ‘Spread Horrible Lies’ About Her Parenting

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor may have stepped away from Vanderpump Rules, but they do keep themselves in the spotlight by running their own podcast and doing the interview circuit when the opportunity arises. They also opened a sports bar in late 2023.

But choosing to put the details of your personal life out to the masses on their podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, as well as social media, is always a risk. Haters and trolls will find something to criticize.

Jax and Brittany are not new to the game, and certainly have had to grow a thick skin, but when trolls come after their parenting, it’s too emotional an issue.

Brittany is “praying” for the trolls

Brittany chose to address a hurtful Reddit thread during the January 5 episode of the podcast. The Kentucky native spoke of trolls spreading “horrible lies” about her abilities to mother her two-year-old son. In Novemeber 2023, Brittany revealed that Cruz was showing signs of speech delay.

“To talk about parenting — being a parent is the best thing that ever, ever happened to me. And Cruz is my number one priority. I just feel like it’s so insane for someone to just post things that’s not even true and act like it’s okay. And not even care about the people they are hurting,” Brittany stated.

The former Pump Rules star was frustrated by the anonymous nature of social media.

“You are sitting behind a fake name, a fake profile, and diagnosing my two-and-half year old son with things. I go to the doctor,” Brittany said. “We do everything we possibly can to help our son. So I’m just a little pissed off today. I’m not going to lie. Because say whatever you want about me, but do not talk about my child. That is just where I draw the line.”

Brittany then compared receiving personal attacks versus trolls commenting negatively about her son.

“People [are] spreading lies and acting like I said things about things in the past that I never even said. It just really gets to me,” she stated. “Because I know who I am and I know what kind of person I am. And whenever people believe something that’s not true about me, it really affects me.”

Jax jumped in to opine that “something must be going wrong in [the] lives” of those who commented negatively.

Brittany concluded by addressing the person who created the thread critcizing her parenting skills. “I want to say person — whoever you are — I’m praying for you. I wish you nothing but happiness. And love. And everything in your life. But just know, you’ve got everything wrong.”

Vanderpump Rules returns for Season 11 on January 30 at 8/7c on Bravo.
