Backstage at the launch of her new fashion line during New York Fashion Week, Kyle once again denied that she’s the reason Camille isn’t returning for Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
After one of the most talked-about seasons of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to date, viewers want redemption. Many fans of the show were left somewhat bewildered after the wild turn of events. The show took a hard hit after Lisa Vanderpump announced her decision to depart the franchise. While the rest of the cast centered their storylines around Lisa’s alleged and unconfirmed actions, she peaced out for the sake of her sanity. At the Season 9 reunion, Erika Jayne (of all people) crowned Kyle Richards as the new “queen” of RHOBH. Uh-huh.
Word on the street is the sitting queen has a lot of say in casting. Perhaps once you bounce one of the more beloved cast members, you automatically level up? Camille Grammer was on fire in her “friend of” role on the show. She did not bow to Her Majesty and delighted in calling people out. After a wedding, the drama of her home burning to the ground, and her ability to ruffle feathers, it seemed Camille would be guaranteed a full-time slot. When she was effectively cancelled, Cammy alleged it was Kyle who made the call. Kyle has just responded to Camille’s assumptions, but don’t worry, Camille hasn’t finished.
Denise Richards is plowing full steam ahead into Season 10 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her induction proved to be memorable. The actress fought wildfires, got married, and watched a legend leave the fold. Somehow Denise managed to stay above the fray of #puppygate and maintain positive relationships with her co-stars. Denise opened up about her turbulent life and maybe shared one too many details about husband Aaron Phypers. I think viewers and Aaron would agree we already have plenty of info on his dong. That said, it’s a refreshing change from hearing about PK Kemsley’s diabetes or
anything to do with Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s job.
So what is the newlywed going to bring us next year? As far as we know, she won’t be joining the carpool to court with Dorit Kemsley and Erika Jayne. Filming recently began on a new beginning for the Real Housewives of The Valley With Questionable Views. As fans of the franchise know, if you aren’t one and done, you need to shine to keep that diamond. Now Denise talks about new additions and moving forward. Ding, ding, round two for Denise has officially begun.
Season 9 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a SNOOZE. I never want to hear the term “puppygate” again. The women made the entire season about dog drama when everything else in their lives was going to crap. Dorit Kemsley and Erika Girardi were both dealing with financial issues, yet they were barely talked about. Denise Richards and Camille Grammer lost homes in a serious fire. Yet, we only got one episode dedicated to the real-life tragedy. Lisa Rinna’s daughter struggled with an eating disorder and we saw one awkward dinner. Kyle Richards had zero problems other than self-induced anxiety. However, we saw none of these things manifest in a real way on RHOBH.
Instead we were treated to Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s accountability scheming, a Lisa Vanderpump-less season, and lots of costume changes with zero substance. Here’s hoping these women learn from watching this season that they need to let the Beverly Hills façade come down a bit for the sake of interesting content. It doesn’t seem that will happen though.
There were many unanswered questions when Real Housewives of Beverly Hills concluded Season 9. Literally though, the women refused to address almost anything remotely personal; i.e. lawsuits, plastic surgery, and finances.
The only that that was very clear is that Camille Grammer is on the outs with the RHOBH ladies. Sure, she got a long hug from latex-clad Lisa Rinna. But, other than that, bridesmaid Kyle Richards sided with Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave against Camille, which didn’t surprise Camille, since she declared that Teddi is “up Kyle’s ass.” Camille and Denise Richards’ had strong tension that came out of nowhere. And then there’s Erika Jayne, who doesn’t seem to care about
anything Camille at all. Camille was really marching into the lions den when she showed up to film, but it turns out she was already very much excluded before the reunion taping.
While the last Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season had more drama than the previous couple, it’s not as if there was a bevy of storylines- human storylines. I’m not even going to get into the Lucy drama that managed to eclipse the season.
However, new Housewife Denise Richards was a pleasure to watch. She could have given us more drama. That super random reunion tension with Camille Grammer doesn’t count since it made zero sense to me. She had some post-show social media beef with Lisa Vanderpump and John Sessa. However, for the most part, she provided some much-needed comic relief and a break from the glam squads. A casting change is needed. LVP is out. No one else wants to talk about anything remotely interesting. Lawsuits, plastic surgery, and faux finances are not on the table. We need a cast shake up. So will Denise be a one and done? Or will she return (hopefully with a bunch of new Housewives)?
Well, we made it through another season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It has been a rough one and I think I need my own vacation from this cast! Season 9 of my beloved RHOBH has been a bit exhausting. If I saw Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna or Dorit Kemsley on the streets of Beverly, I would probably ask them for a refund for the season. Cash or verified gift card only from Dorit!
As Lisa Vanderpump stopped filming with her co-stars, the other Housewives did not have much to do all season, other than drink, hide lawsuits, shamelessly promote their businesses and complain about LVP. Not much of interest happened until the reunion when Camille Grammer barreled in with guns blazing. She was especially miffed that Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave shaded her wedding. Now, Teddi is explaining her side of things. Whether we like it or not!
