The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills looks a lot different this season. And that’s a good thing. Garcelle Beauvais isn’t a newbie anymore and she’s definitely hit her stride. Watching her take Lisa Rinna to task over the bullying of Denise Richards gave me life. Crystal Kung Minkoff, in her freshman year, already came out the gate, holding Sutton Stracke accountable for some racially insensitive comments. Guys, we are only on episode 2.
One person who lacked all of the above confidence to confront her cast members and hold them accountable was Miss Accountable herself, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave. Her business may be called “All In” but at no point did she demonstrate that on the show. Unless she meant “all in” when it comes to being Kyle Richards’ puppet. So it’s fair to say that Teddi brought very little to the table and therefore, had to go.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills seems to have finally got a cast shake-up it needs for Season 11. The women were getting a little too comfortable with their gang mentality, particularly after their crusade to outing Denise Richards. Now we have Crystal Kung Minkoff, who revealed more about her personal life in 5 minutes than Erika Jayne has given us throughout her entire housewives’ career. Sutton Stracke has a diamond of her own and apparently isn’t afraid to stir the pot and ask the women, particularly Mrs. Girardi, the tough questions this season. Garcelle Beauvais is back for a second season, and this time around she’s not letting up on Lisa Rinna or anyone who needs to be called out. And Kathy Hilton is the newest (and most amazing) friend-of here to bug the hell out of her sister Kyle “Doogie” Richards.
The RHOBH ladies needed a few new faces to come in and make them own it, because shady Rinna is obviously not the authority on keeping it real no matter what she says. Aside from Erika’s fraud case and
sham divorce, plenty of the other ladies have dealt with infidelity rumors, legal drama, and more that they love to keep off the cameras. And the best way to do that is to team up and exposing other people. Like, these women think that TEDDI MELLENCAMP makes great TV. They’re obviously not in-tune with what really makes a good season of Real Housewives. They all just need to watch the Real Housewives of New Jersey and take some notes.
Crystal Kung Minkoff is the new addition on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she is coming into this season more confidently than Sutton Stracke. Sutton seems to be trying her voice, i.e. am I being controversial enough to secure a spot next season while still maintaining friendships and being relatable to the viewers? It’s all about authenticity this season, thanks to Garcelle Beauvais.
Sutton’s got an uphill battle ahead of her. Her demotion from housewife to friend because her kids couldn’t film with her was a hard blow. So naturally, Sutton is trying to bring it this season. Kathy Hilton, and Crystal both singled out Sutton as the pot-stirring maven of the group.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has a lot going on this season. There was so much fall out from last, with Denise Richards leaving and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave doing us all a favor and getting fired. With that, came a cast shakeup. Sutton Stracke, previously a friend of, was promoted to a full-time housewife. Crystal Kung Minkoff was also added to the cast. Kathy Hilton, Kyle Richards‘
much more famous sister was also added to make some appearances this season.
One person I’m thrilled to be coming back from last season is Garcelle Beauvais. I felt like last season, she really brought a realness to the cast. And she just so happened to be the only one
with any sense in Denise’s corner as she was bullied off the show.
So far so good with season 11 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I didn’t think I would be into it and yes, the season has barely started, but I’m hooked (for now). With the addition of Crystal Kung Minkoff and Sutton Stracke as a full time housewife, I think the producers made some smart changes to the cast.
And we haven’t even gotten to Erika Bamboozle Jayne’s legal drama yet. So it seems as if there is plenty more to come from this franchise. Another interesting addition is Kyle Richards’ sister and well-known in her own right, Kathy Hilton. She has proved to be rich, quirky and delightful so far. Especially when she mistook Garcelle Beauvais for her own sister at a party.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has started out stronger than I assumed it would this season. I’m already enjoying the new girl, Crystal Kung Minkoff. Sutton Stracke, who I was personally mesmerized by last season, was promoted to a full time housewife. Thanks to some insensitive comments, I’m not loving Sutton but let’s see how it plays out. And we cannot forget one of the most important additions to the franchise EVER, Ms. Kathy Hilton herself. While she’s not a full time player, she’s enjoyable with the little we’ve seen.
So the cast shake up this season was a pretty big one, but much needed. Gone
and already forgotten from last season is Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave. You know, Kyle Richards’ partner in crime? What those two saw in each other is beyond me but I can only assume that two shady b*tches just like to be shady together. But while fans clearly aren’t missing Teddi, someone actually is.
Well, at just two episodes, this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills could already blow the previous few out of the water. All signs point to season 11 being a banger. Mere months ago we were crossing our fingers in hopes of Kyle Richards’ sister, Kathy Hilton, joining the RHOBH cast. For once, the Bravo gods have smiled down and given us this gift.
Kathy has officially joined the RHOBH ladies for season 11! At long last! Kathy has been joined by another rookie, Crystal Kung Minkoff. Together, these two are spicing up our lives by shifting cast dynamics and boosting the quirk of these otherwise stuffy and guarded women. Who needs a glassware or panty storyline? Give us all the childhood dental work and personal box fan goodness. Another thing both rookies bring to the table? Financial prowess.
Rumor has it that new Real Housewives of Beverly Hills diamond-holder Sutton Stracke is going to be working for that paycheck this year. She’s allegedly the only one to question, rightly so, Erika Jayne’s shady divorce and involvement in Tom Girardi’s legal issues. She’s buddy-buddy with Garcelle Beauvais, who also understands the assignment, particularly when it comes to holding Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards accountable. And in the most recent episode, she got into it with Crystal Kung Minkoff, who also came out of the gates strong with an interesting back story and a little shade here and there.
The Sutton v. Crystal fight was hard to watch. Kyle was explaining to the new RHOBH newbies Garcelle’s point of view, particularly as it pertains to race, when it came to Kyle’s attempt at exposing her for not paying at her charity auction. Crystal began talking about her experience dealing with stereotypes as an Asian woman, something a few other Bravolebrities *cough cough* the Real Housewives of Dallas, could learn a thing or two about.
Sutton cut Crystal off in the middle of her explanation, saying they weren’t “doing that” aka bringing race into the discussion. The Southern Belle dug her hole deeper, saying she deals with stereotypes just like Crystal as a white woman from the South. Crystal asked if Sutton was one of those people that “doesn’t see color,” and it’s clear this feud is far from over after just one episode.
