The last time we saw NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak together on Real Housewives of Atlanta, they were battling it out on the Season 10 reunion. Things were so bad that NeNe and Kenya Moore were actually on the same side during that taping.
However, things have changed since then. NeNe and Kim shared that they reconnected during Gregg Leakes‘ cancer battle and that they texted here and there. It seems like these two only get along when they’re not filming, but I am always down for a Housewife comeback. Maybe Kim will show up to an event next season. She always brings the drama. I’m here for it. And so is NeNe.
When the explosive trailer for Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta trailer dropped, there was one glaring absence amongst Bravo’s favorite Georgia Peaches: last season’s newbie Shamari DeVoe.
While fans were quick to assume that the Season 11 rookie had been fired in favor of Kenya Moore‘s return to the franchise, Shamari took to social media to claim otherwise.
Who could forget DeShawn Snow?! (~Crickets~). For those drawing a blank, DeShawn starred on Season 1 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. In the season that started one of Bravo’s greatest series, we meet a young, tough Linnethia Leakes as she navigates the budding stages of a tragic friendship with Kim Zolciak-Biermann. I remember, way back when, actually being captivated by Kim. My eyes had never witnessed such a character on-screen. Who was this wannabe songstress with the Barbie wigs, and cartons of Parliament Lites in the freezer? Kim may have intrigued me, but I’ll argue forever that the reason Season 1 of RHOA took off was because of DeShawn.
At the time, DeShawn was married to Eric Snow, who has since retired from the NBA. DeShawn came on RHOA to promote her philanthropy. In the episode “Bring on the Bling” (go watch it on whatever streaming service you can) DeShawn organizes a charity auction in the hopes of raising $1 million for underprivileged kids in Atlanta. She invited every single person who lived in Atlanta, passed out invites at the mall, and went on a morning show to promote the house-party. DeShawn’s party invite did not include a door fee or a required minimum bid for the auction. This proved to be a huge mistake. DeShawn basically invited a bunch of randoms to come over for free food and drink, bereft of any intention to bid in the auction. The party was an epic failure. DeShawn did not return for another season, and has since kept a pretty low profile. That is until now!
The O Come OG Faithful episode of Watch What Happens Live was everything that I wanted and more. Andy Cohen gathered OG Real Housewives Vicki Gunvalson, Ramona Singer, NeNe Leakes, Teresa Giudice, and Kyle Richards for a special holiday celebration.
Before he provoked them to spill some tea and throw some shade, Andy announced, “Just so you know, Luann [de Lesseps] is doing her cabaret show tonight. Lisa Vanderpump is opening a restaurant in Las Vegas and she’s there prepping. Bethenny [Frankel] is under the weather.” To be fair, Bethenny almost died when she was hospitalized with an allergic reaction. To say that she was “under the weather” is an understatement.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans can rejoice! It seems like we are (finally) in an era when there isn’t a rivalry between Chateau Sheree and Moore Manor.
The back and forth barbs between Kenya Moore and Sheree Whitfield about baseboards, light fixtures, and unfinished basements dragged on for way too long. Aside from putting the mansion battle behind them, it actually seems like the two RHOA costars on good terms. Sure, they’re still throwing shade, but the tension between has definitely thinned out.
I still can’t believe that Sheree Whitfield’s mansion is finally “finished.” Sure, that last word is debatable, but we all have to agree that the house did look gorgeous (for the most part). Plus, the Chateau Sheree housewarming party brought some great drama to finish out the Real Housewives of Atlanta season… before the reunion. So obviously Sheree had a lot to say about it during her Watch What Happens Live appearance last night.
Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant also stopped by to throw some shade at her costars and to react to the Atlanta antics as well. Not only that, but Sheree’s son Kairo Whitfield provided some eye candy as a bartender and answered a lot of questions as well.

Reality Tea is ranking ALL the Housewives from every season and every city! Our list is broken down into three parts with Housewives ranked from worst to ‘best’ (or best of the worst, if you will). Below is Part 1.
What makes a superior species of Housewives? Is it class? Money? Fabulous plastic surgery and good shoes? Beautiful home? A revolving door of crazy that keeps us on our cheaply-clad toes? Is it a supportive husband? An in-home zoo of fabulous miniature fluff balls clad in their own designer wardrobe? Is it a witty zinger or indispensable advice? Is it their ability to rewrite history without irony? To crack open the egg of their emotional travails in front of cameras? Or is it their ability to deftly control the scenery while cracking a Chanel whip?

Not everyone is cut out to be a Real Housewife and there’s nothing wrong with that. In all honesty, it might even be a compliment. Sometimes Bravo casts women who are just way too normal to be on reality TV. There’s nothing wrong with them as humans, but they are just not fit to expose their lives on reality television.
I have no idea why some of these people were cast, but it happened and we all had to sit through it. Most of the Real Housewives ladies are amazing, then there are some that were just way too boring.
