reality tv recaps

Quad-Simone-and-Jackie-at-party

This season on Married to Medicine, we have witnessed fights, fake reconciliations and even threats of choke outs.  Hopefully the finale episode is one to remember. Last week’s episode was to be continued, after Mariah Huq received a scary phone call informing her that her husband, Aydin Huq has been admitted to the hospital. She rushes off the bus to her husband’s side, while he is still fighting off viral meningitis in the hospital.

All the ladies check on Aydin’s condition as a show of support, in light of his scary diagnosis. Mariah has been at Aydin’s bedside while he is in the hospital. She believes he may have contracted the virus from a patient in the ER. Although she is stressed about her husband’s health, she is hopeful that he will get better and they will be out of the hospital soon.

Nilsa-and-Aimee

Get ready for your dose of trash TV! Floribama Shore is like junk food. You know it’s not healthy or good for you, but it’s so satisfying at times. This week’s episode, we get to see what happens the morning after when Gus Smyrnios hooks up with a random. If you ask me, he brought the drama on himself. Who attempts a friend with benefits relationship with a stage 5 clinger you are stuck living with all summer?

Gus complains about the lack of privacy and how he feels like he is doing a walk of shame. Yet he proceeds to make his one night stand breakfast before giving her the boot. Rather than a walk of shame, it seems as if he is leading a parade. He clearly wants everyone to know this girl stayed the night with him. If not everyone, he is clearly sending a message to one person in particular, Nilsa Prowant.

LeeAnne Locken RHOD reunion

Last night was part two of the Real Housewives Of Dallas reunion which also marked the official end of season 3. I have to say of all the Real Housewives franchises, this one is still my favorite.

Sure, Real Housewives Of Dallas could use some tweaking – like please no more Brandi Redmond vs. LeeAnne Locken feuds dominating every season Whew! We have had enough! Having LeeAnne and Brandi become BFF would be totally insincere and producer-driven. I’d like to see them settle into an acquaintanceship where they can have fun together socially (or at least be civil) and leave it at that.

I’d also love to see D’Andra Simmons go back in time and recognize it’s a wig she’s wearing on her head, not a crown, so there is no need to start petty drama with LeeAnne! Those two are much better as friends. They balance each other and have a great dynamic. This season D’Andra got too big for her britches and LeeAnne’s britches already have L’infinity egos.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath Episode 13 Recap: Free For All

The Survivor Gods giveth. Then they taketh away. Just last week, we experienced the demise of the somewhat polarizing Gabby Pascuzzi. Many fans cheered. This week we witnessed a shocking exit that most likely made you scream at your TV, stomp away in anger and throw your Survivor notepad to the floor in disgust. Or was that just me?Yes, this week’s penultimate episode is sure to have whipped the whole of the Survivor-verse into a furious frenzy. But if one thing was made clear by the episode’s end: This season, it’s anybody’s game.

As I do at the beginning of every recap, please heed the following: Remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s Episode 13 of Survivor: David vs. Goliath. If you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap. It is more of a discussion and reaction of what we just witnessed together.

Women-meeting-with-dr-jessica

On this week’s episode of Married at First Sight- Happily Ever After, the couples meet with the experts in Boston for a marriage retreat. I’m sure everyone is just dying to reveal all of their marriage issues in a group setting and rehash old wounds… NOT. They will also get the chance to meet Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre’s new baby, Laura. They are the center of attention because the other two couples have a lot of questions about labor and adjusting to life with a newborn. After last week’s episode where Shawniece flipped out Jephte for not helping with household duties, I am sure they have plenty of advice for the group.

Before the Married at First Sight couples meet with the experts, they get lunch to check in with one another. The last time they met, all of the wives were pregnant. This is everyone’s first time meeting one of the new babies. Danielle Bergman is surprised that Shawniece is so brave to bring her baby out so early.  She already made it clear she isn’t bringing her baby out until a few months after birth. Nonetheless, everyone fawns over baby Laura and enjoys the quiet before the storm with the experts.

Captain Lee reacts to Ashton going overboard

On last night’s Below Deck the crew dealt with a shocking realization. Ashton Pienaar’s fall overboard wasn’t just a dramatic television moment, but that he could’ve lost his life!

Ashton went off the back of the swim platform after stepping into a tow line which wrapped around his ankle. It was exactly like a movie, but this was actual reality and Bravo editing magic had nothing to do with the events! As Captain Lee Rosbach explained while choking up, Ashton was “within 30 seconds” of losing his life, or at the very least his foot!

The most surprising revelation, however, was that Ashton owes his life (and the continuation of his defined tricep muscles) to the rapid reaction of a Below Deck cameraman named Brent. He literally threw down his camera, raced to the side of the boat, and untangled the lines to give Ashton more time, which set him free to swim to the tender to wait until they were in safer water to bring him in! Maybe Brent should be bosun. Something tells me Rhylee Gerber wouldn’t be talking to him with a nasty attitude!

Married to Medicine Recap: Bottled Up Emotions

On this week’s episode of Married to Medicine, an outing ends in tragedy when Mariah Huq receives some unexpected news about her husband, Aydin Huq.  An angry exchange ensues when one of the ladies accuses one of the husbands of being a liar. At this point, I don’t think it’s possible for this whole group to get together without an issue. Trust me I am not complaining. Like most viewers, I am front and center to tune in for someone else drama.

Cecil Whitmore and Simone Whitmore go out for a date night at a restaurant. They both acknowledge that they are doing a lot better in their marriage since last year. Simone asks Cecil to never put her in a situation again where she has to file for divorce. She then goes from 0 to 100. She started shouting about how much he hurt her, not allowing him to get in a word of a rebuttal. She is still angry about how his friendship with his ex-best friend Tammy, made her feel in their marriage. Cecil is completely caught off guard as she grabs her purse and storms out of the restaurant.

This week’s episode of Floribama Shore gives us all the drama we expect from reality TV. On this episode, Gus Smyrmios continues to lead Nilsa Prowant on with the guise of this friends with benefits attempt that he knows she can’t handle. He even brings a girl back to the house. He has to know that Nilsa will go absolutely nuts. Everyone in that house knows that Nilsa is super sensitive and has the capability to explode. Nonetheless, I am down to see how this shit show unfolds.

During the last episode, Gus and Nilsa finally hooked up after flirting since the first season. Nilsa goes downstairs with the girls to discuss her big night and is rocking a thick scarf. Turns out Gus gave Nilsa multiple hickeys to mark his territory. Gus claims he is only a man and is weak. Nilsa proceeds to giddily tell the entire house she had “hunch punch” last night, as if she is okay with this friends with benefits situation.
