In case you have been hiding under a rock, Doritadopted a dog from LVP’s rescue organization, Vanderpump Dogs. The dog nipped PK and the children, so Dorit re-homed Lucy instead of giving her back to Vanderpump Dogs. And poor Lucy Lucy Apple Juice ended up in a kill shelter. LVP swore on her children’s lives that she did not leak the story or had anyone in her camp leak it. PK accepted LVP’s word, but Dorit did not. Awkward! Now everyone’s favorite puss-patting performer Erika Jayne (also known as Erika Girardi) is taking a break from her husbandTom Girardi’sfinancial problems to chat about the Beverly Hills ladies.
Last night the episode opened in two different typical Beverly Hills mornings. Mornings so disparate they might as well have been happening across the globe from each other, like a study in sending kids off to school: Denmark vs. Indonesia.
Kyle Richards wakes up at the crack of dawn to make Portia breakfast in bed, on a monogrammed tray. Except at 10-years-old Portia is still sleeping in bed with Kyle and Maurcio – kinda creepy – so Kyle actually retrieves Portia from her bed, and puts her in her own bed to serve her breakfast. Then Portia doesn’t have time to eat because Kyle spends so much time styling her hair. Kyle thinks this is all just normal good mothering. If you’re Lori Loughlin. Also in Beverly Hills (or Encino) the houses are so big the smell of coffee being made doesn’t wake everyone else up…
Seriously – did Kyle just put socks on her tween, while Portia lounged in bed and sneered at the breakfast tray? Kyle — it’s called POPTARTS, and you can even fit a bag of them in your Vanderhaul.
The “puppy gate” scandal on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is rolling on (and on) with no end in sight. Lucy Lucy Apple Juice is the breakout star of the series—no one has been discussed more this season. But the entire controversy has weighed heavily on Lisa Vanderpump and destroyed her relationships with the other Beverly Hills ladies.
RHOBHco-star Dorit Kemsleyadopted a dog from Lisa’s rescue organization, Vanderpump Dogs. Allegedly, Lucy nipped her husband, PK Kemsley, and their children. Dorit “re-homed” the dog, and somehow, Lucy ended up in a shelter. Had Dorit followed the instructions in the adoption contract, she would not currently owe the organization a $5,000 fee, and the pup wouldn’t have been in a shelter. Since Dorit had previously adopted and returned a dog to Vanderpump Dogs, she surely knew all about this.
For all you long time Beverly Hills fans, isn’t it great to see more of Camille Grammer this year? Camille shot out of the reality show cannon during Season 1 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a woman with a take-no-prisoners attitude. She was snarky, unfiltered, elitist and more than a tad mean. You know-the perfect Housewife! And her almost comical feud with KyleRichardswas a driving force during the first season of the show.
After a humbling and humiliating public divorce from Kelsey Grammer-and maybe after seeing the public backlash to her haughty ways, Camille seemed to be a changed woman. She was a little kinder, a little gentler and was not nearly as snide or sarcastic after Season 1. Was this a new Camille? Or was she just better able to hide her mean girl ways to protect her public image? Teddi MellencampArroyave might vote for option number two and she is not shy about telling us why.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is well into her second season as a Housewife. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star had a relatively easy first season as far as rookie Housewives go. Other than some drama with Dorit Kemsley over her lateness and their silly disagreement over proper stemware etiquette, Teddi emerged from her first season relatively unscathed. Teddi has even formed a BFF relationship with Kyle Richards and she was the newly favored cast member of Queen Lisa Vanderpump last season.
What a difference a year makes! After Teddi’s shady involvement with Puppy Gate, she is now persona non grata at Villa Rosa. Just this week, Camille Grammer called Teddi a “know-it-all” in her talking head. And like last season, Teddi is once again grating on Dorit’s nerves. So, Teddi is finding out the hard way this season what it really means to be a Housewife. One bright light for Teddi in all this is that her accountability coaching business seems to be booming. And she is even considering writing a book related to her passion-health and fitness.
The first thing we have to discuss, though, which I really do not want to discuss, is Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave allowing Portia and Slade to be models for a ‘kids makeup line’ called “Petite & Pretty.” Which sounds like how a cougar would describe themselves on Tinder, and is being marketed to trailer parks in Alabama where people dream of turning their daughters into Honey Boo Boo.
This week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsoffered a little bit of everything. An impractical designer car, Erika Jayne kneed in the head(!), an ugly political debate and the story of the courageous survival of Lisa Rinna’s mother Lois Rinna at the hands of a serial killer. And for good measure, surprise cameo appearances by Kim Richardsand Kathy Hilton. Whew! It seems like Bravo threw in everything but the kitchen sink. Only because they probably couldn’t salvage it from Lisa Vanderpump’s high end kitchen remodel!
One thing we did not see, however, was LVP interacting with the rest of the cast. She was a no show at Camille Grammer’s bridal shower and the rest of the ladies, of course, questioned her absence. These days, it seems that no one from the cast is in Camp Vanderpump. However, one former Housewife is showing her love for LVP and she isn’t shy about expressing her opinions about the rest of the cast, either.
Last night was the weirdest, most insanely random episode of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills ever! This is RHOBH without a common enemy to direct all their wrath and delusions onto. I dunno — I loved it!
Dorit Kemsley shows up in a redneck tuxedo to Denise Richards‘ house to drink double vodka tonics at 2 in the afternoon and talk motherhood. (Denise had water since she had to pick her daughter up from school) Ha! Motherhood was about 2% of their conversation the rest was all Lisa Vanderpump. Denise liked Dorit immediately when she met her, and found her very warm and kind. That’s Dorit’s ruse — everyone feels that way about her. Initially.
Denise counsels Hollywood neophyte Dorit about handling close friends betraying you to the tabloids. When Denise was going through her divorce she actually used to run sting operations on confidantes by sharing something with them to see if it would wind up in the press, and that was how she knew who was a true friend. Despite LVP ruining her reputation, eviscerating her belief in friends, and making her question all of humanity, Dorit still wants their friendship back. Denise believes that – with time – Dorit can eventually forgive her.
