Leah’s ex-husband #1, Corey Simms, was granted primary custody of the girls last week. Corey fought for custody last year, but when all was said and done, Corey and Leah‘s 50/50 arrangement remained intact. Continued concerns for Ali and Aleeah’s well-being prompted Corey to go back to court, and according to In Touch, he was “awarded primary custody, effective immediately” on 10/13.

Honestly, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has followed Leah‘s story since 16 & Pregnant and/or watched season six of Teen Mom 2. Leah has always, IMO, been a perpetual victim, selfish, and a compulsive liar, but she spiraled downward last year in a real bad way.
After the demise of her second marriage – due to her alleged addiction to pills and her well-known addiction to peen – with Jeremy Calvert, Leah went to “therapy” for “anxiety and depression”. Earlier this month, Leah went on and on about how great life is since “therapy” but, like I said, Leah struggles with truth.
“Leah‘s really been screwing up since then, so Corey took her back to court,” a family insider told In Touch. “The judge looked at the girls’ school records, which show that they’ve been late for school, and made the change in custody. Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now.”
Excellent decision. Ali and Aleeah are disciplined, well-behaved, fed properly, well-groomed, dressed properly, and on a good schedule when they are with Corey and Miranda. Basically, the complete opposite of Leah‘s house, where they are acting out, making their own food, doing their own hair, stabbing each other with pencils, going to bed at midnight, etc. We saw this and more on TM2.
My hope now is that Corey, who quit the show at the end of season six, forbids MTV to film Ali and Aleeah. Not even with Leah.
According to the family insider, Leah may soon have to fight for custody of her two-year-old daughter with Jeremy, Adalynn Faith, as well.
“Everyone is worried about Addie,” shared the source. “She recently wandered out of the house while Leah was distracted. Thankfully, a police officer found Addie and brought her back home. If Jeremy can find a job nearby, he’ll go for the same custody arrangement that Corey did.”
The Ashley, whose Teen Mom sources are reliable, confirmed the report.
The site shared, “The Ashley can also confirm that Jeremy is, indeed, going to try to get primary custody of Addie. This was something he wanted long before the Addie incident, but it surely lit a fire under him to get to work on it. Jeremy is willing to change jobs, if necessary, to get custody of Addie.”
