Chelsea and three of her girlfriends make Cole DeBoer drive them to a wedding venue several hours away. Does Cole have friends? It seems odd to me that he would go on this trip unless he has nothing better to do. I’d rather stay home and babysit Chelsea’s mammoth dog and Pete-Pete. Before they head out, the girls and the hair monster living on Chelsea’s head push Mary’s car out of a snow drift.
Last night’s episode confirmed it for me: this season of Teen Mom 2 is too long. How many times can we hear the same stories retold over and over and over again?
Chelsea Houska is trying to get Adam Lind’s child support adjusted, Adam impresses himself, Isaac doesn’t want Javi Marroquin to leave, Leah Messer thinks she has her s–t together, and Jenelle Evans won’t let Nathan Griffith see Kaiser. Some of the story lines actually moved last night, though. Jenelle finally met with Nathan, Javi left for deployment, Chelsea has a new plan for Aubree’s name, and Leah gets a court date for custody reconsideration.
Last week, we witnessed Leah’s awkward dinner with Jeremy Calvert and this week we relive it through her recap to friend Kayla. Jeremy has no interest in Leah, but that’s okay, because Leah doesn’t want to be in a relationship. She needs time and is focusing on her kids. Tinder hookups don’t count. Right after telling Kayla that Ali will eventually lose muscle function in her organs, Ali falls off a swing. It’s a sad reminder that Ali’s condition will continue to deteriorate.
We barely saw Corey Simms on last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 – even Nathan Griffith had more air time than him! – but other than that, last night’s episode was centered on dads, the old, the new, the steps, and the born again.
Chelsea Houska wants to replace Aubree’s old dad, Adam Lind, with new dad, Cole DeBoer. Adam accepts Cole as Aubree’s step-dad, but refuses to be ousted as DAD. Isaac’s step-dad, Javi Marroquin, is about to leave for a six month deployment, and dad, Jo Rivera, is prepared to help Kailyn Lowry. Jenelle Evans considers letting Nathan see his son, while she celebrates her birthday in New York with David Eason, who has a couple of kids of his own. AndLeah Messer is getting along especially well with Addie’s dad, Jeremy Calvert. She thinks there may be a new spark with her old flame, which would conveniently spare her from having a fourth kid with a third man.
Cole finally pops the question! We don’t get to see it happen, but we see a few cute pictures and Aubree draws it out for her grandma. Here’s how it went down: Cole took Chelsea to his favorite spot in the woods where he had pictures of the two of them and Aubree hanging on surrounding trees. Aubree was with him so he asked her if it was okay to marry her mommy. He had already asked Chelsea’s parents for their permission and he designed the ring. We get it, Cole is disgustingly perfect.
Jenelle boils hot dogs for Kaiser while friend/roommate/nanny Tori’s presence assures him he’s not alone with his mom. “We gotta wipe your hands. Forget it, we’re not wiping your hands,” Jenelle says in one breath before putting Kaiser in his crib to scream alone while she hangs out in bed with Tori.
Do Jenelle’s lips really look good, or is it just that they look good compared to Farrah’s? Now if she could learn to keep them closed, that would be a real improvement! Speaking of improvement, or lack thereof, Jenelle hasn’t learned much from her previous encounters with the law and we find out she has been arrested AGAIN. This time for assault against Nathan’s new girlfriend Jessi, who looks like an older (tamer?) version of Jenelle. According to Jenelle, “the judge is gonna be like, ‘this is stupid.’” DUDE, all she did was throw water at the girl and the glass slipped! Likely story.
Settle in for a heaping bowl of ridiculous served Jenelle Evans style! In several interviews Jenelle reacts to her various twitter feuds with otherTeen Mom 2 stars, plus her consecutive custody battles with Barbara Evans and Nathan Griffin. She also brags of the wonders of boyfriend of the month David Eason. Delights aplenty are below.
First up Jenelle on her twitter altercations with Kail Lowry.
“Me and Kail, we’ve been on edge lately and I don’t want to associate with her anymore because it seems like she keeps the argument going,” accuses Jenelle. “I dropped it. She keeps going making snide comments and stuff. I just think it’s really rude of her.”
