I don’t know what I would do if it wasn’t for the Real Housewives franchise. I have watched every episode of every season in every city multiple times, no matter how I feel about the content. With that said, this season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has definitely been its worst – by far. As much as I love these ladies, there are so many reasons why Season 6 of RHOBH has been its worst. No matter how much I stan for this show, I cannot deny this. And I’m sure that I’m not the only one wishing for a redo on this one.
Typically, RHOBH is chock full of story lines, but this season just dragged on and on. Don’t get me wrong, I still watched every episode a million times, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I usually do. And this is something that made me sad. Hopefully someone at Bravo who has some power is reading this right now and will do what they can to avoid these same mistakes next season.

RHOBH is a show with a great cast, so it’s a real shame that this season was far from its best. So why was it lacking this time around? Here are my reasons:
The Same Argument Over & Over
I wish that I could list all of the crazy things that happened this season, but it’s really just been one topic getting discussed on a repetitive basis. The ladies keep arguing about whether Yolanda Foster has Munchausen Syndrome instead of Lyme Disease every single time they get together. The argument has since expanded to who started the rumor, but it is still the same repetitive plot point. It was intriguing at first...but it became tired real quick.
Kim Richards Isn't A Cast Member
I’m all for Kim Richards working on her sobriety, but I miss having her on the show. She always brought so much to RHOBH – from the sister spats with Kyle Richards to some much-needed comic relief. Now, Kim is not a cast member, but is used by the other ladies who need something to talk about. Which seems to be a pattern this season: talking about people who aren’t present to create a story line. Kim should just be a full-time cast member instead of getting exploited by boring people looking for a conversation topic.
Kathryn Edwards Has No Connection To The Cast
Props to Bravo for airing this season of RHOBH during the same time when there was a resurgence in the OJ Simpson case. That was pretty much the only intriguing thing about Kathryn Edwards being present. She had no prior relationship with the women and her “coincidentally” running into Lisa Rinna at Lisa Vanderpump‘s charity event really didn’t fool anyone. We all know that Bravo sent her there. Even when she started filming for the season, it was so obvious that she is not friends with these women. I am sure she is a nice person, but it just made no sense to have her in the mix.
Brandi Glanville Isn't A Cast Member
The women loved complaining about Brandi Glanville last season, but I am sure that they miss her now. I’m sure that they are so over talking about the allegations of Yolanda‘s Munchausen’s Syndrome. Love her or hate her, Brandi was always entertaining and her presence was able to incite multiple controversies. This is something the viewers desperately needed in a season that revolved around a singular plot point. Plus, the show got a lot less funny since she left.
There Is Too Much Faye Resnick
Why does this woman continue to show up?
Faye Resnick acts like she's so overwhelmed by the negative attention she receives - and that she doesn’t deserve it because she is not a cast member on RHOBH, yet she is the one who continues to show up to every event possible. She keeps inserting herself in situations and gets mad when people react to her presence and chronic shit stirring. Thankfully, Kyle’s unwavering loyalty is most likely enough to make up for all the hate she gets from everyone else.
They Are All Afraid Of Lisa Vanderpump
All the women are brave enough to talk about Lisa Vanderpump behind her back, but no one has the nerve to confront her in person. I don’t know if they just don’t think that they have strong enough arguments or if it is because they are scared of LVP‘s response, but it’s just getting old. The same thing happens over and over: they get wound up about Lisa’s “manipulation,” say that they are going to confront her, and then nothing ever happens. Boring.
I love all of the women on RHOBH (for the most part), so it’s a shame that this season was so lackluster. I laughed at some of the one-liners, marveled at the outfits, and lived vicariously through their travels, but the season was a little limp for me. It was definitely nothing in comparison to the drama-filled episodes of seasons past. Hopefully the people at Bravo make adjustments to RHOBH for Season 7.
