After years of feuding on Real Housewives of New Jersey, sisters-in-law Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice finally reached a genuine truce during Season 7. For the most part- excluding a seemingly staged an argument at their old restaurant– the two of them got along during Season 8 as well.
Then out of nowhere the trailer for RHONJ Season 9 was released and the viewers were shocked to see Melissa and Teresa yelling at each other from opposite sides of the table surrounded by their costars. Did they regress after two seasons of progress? Or was that just a spat between two people who spend a lot of time together? They are costars, relatives, and friends. That is a lot of time hanging out with the same person. Who isn’t going to disagree with that much interaction? Then again, most people don’t scream at each other in a public place, but this is why Real Housewives of New Jersey is so great.
In an interview with E! News, Melissa cleared up the speculation about a major rift between the two of them. She clarified, “No, we’re not going to have knock-down, drag-out fights, but Teresa and I do fight this season. We do get into a couple arguments. It’s sisters-in-law, we are family.” But what are these arguments about?

Melissa hinted that the addition of Jennifer Aydin and Jackie Goldschneider could have something to do with their tension. She shared, “There are two new girls who are, like, amazing. It’s so hard to cast new people on Jersey. We are family, it’s very hard to fit in with us…to bring other people in has always been difficult and I think we found it…These two girls are so polar opposite, it’s insane.”
Melissa added, “One is a little bit like Teresa and I feel like one’s a little bit like me, so it’s just funny and it works.” Just take one look at social media and it’s clear that Teresa gets along with Jennifer while Melissa is close with Jackie.
The New Jersey Housewives have been relatively tight-lipped about the Season 9 storylines, but soon enough we will all be in the know about what (or who) got Melissa and Teresa so riled up in that trailer.
