Tamra Judge Admits The Last Two Seasons of Real Housewives Of Orange County “Haven’t Been Our Best”

Just a few years ago, the Real Housewives of Orange County was one of the crown jewels in Bravo’s sprawling franchise. However, even the most diehard OC apologists can admit the show has suffered a major fall from grace in the last few years from its glory days of fake cancer and Irish bus rides from hell.

And in a new interview with HollywoodLife, Tamra Judge is finally acknowledging the rough years, and promising fans a major course correction during Season 14.

“I think it’s good,” Tamra told HollywoodLife of the current RHOC season. “I think it’s definitely the season we needed, because the last couple of seasons, let’s face it, have not been our best.”

The self-proclaimed hottest Housewife in Orange County even went as far as to say that she’s “getting like a season nine vibe from this season.” Fans will recall that Season 9 was smack dab in the middle of a perfect five-year narrative arc on RHOC (Seasons 7-11, otherwise known as the Heather Dubrow years).

We saw the introduction of Shannon Beador and Lizzie Rovsek following the abrupt departures of Gretchen Rossi, Alexis Bellino, and  Lydia McLaughlin.

Highlights from that season included Heather’s infamous “take the Beadors down” feud with Shannon. Tamra running through a Bali hotel lobby screaming, “You will never see my face again!” after being called out by the other women for her pot-stirring ways.

Ah, the good old days before we were subjected to back-to-back seasons of a Vicki Gunvalson vs. Tamra and Shannon stand-off, Icelandic menu throwing and Peggy Sulahian‘s dubious grasp on the English language. (Seriously, when you think about it, RHOC became downright unwatchable the moment Heather left the show following Season 11. If you disagree, we’re done. Please leave.)

However, it’s nice to hear that Tamra has confidence that this season will finally pay off for long-suffering viewers. Even Andy Cohen himself tweeted ahead of last night’s episode that the Arizona trip “begins a series of classic #RHOC episodes,” so buckle up Orange County fans because things might finally be looking up!
