Tom Girardi & Erika Jayne Slam $3 Milion Lawsuit As A “Publicity Stunt”; Want Lawsuit Removed From Public Eye

Another day, another legal issue among the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members. As you may recall, Erika Jayne and her husband Tom Girardi are facing a $3 million lawsuit over an unpaid loan.

The latest? Mr. and Mrs. Girardi have fired back with legal documents of their own.

According to legal documents obtained by the website The Blast, The couple failed to pay back a $5 million loan and owe $3 million to Stillwell Madison. This guy accused them of failing to pay back the loan to “fund their lavish lifestyle” instead.

In the document, Erika and Tom state, “The current action was filed as a publicity stunt. Plaintiff filed in federal court using such highly charged language as ‘lavish lifestyle’ and ‘glamorous public image’ with the goal to try to use the Court system as a publicity campaign.” Maybe the guy just “allegedly” wants his money back, which would make sense.

Erika and Tom want the lawsuit to be removed from the public eye; i.e. away from the public court records and into arbitration. The couple also claimed that the contract with the lender stated that any disputes should be handled with arbitration instead of federal court.

Now, we are just waiting on a judge to make a ruling. It really is “XXPEN$IVE” to be Erika Jayne (and Tom Girardi).
